A couple of thoughts about The Great Show:

So, I was really, really worried about how they would handle this teenage pregnancy and the issue of abortion, but was somewhat pleasantly surprised with how it turned out. it’s not perfect. I could have done without the boxing ring and two men fighting over the “honor” of a woman. Guys, she’s not a thing. She’s not your object to have, or control, or to make decisions for. She is an autonomous human being with thoughts and actions of her very own that are deserving of respect.

But, they did ultimately dramatize the messiness of the choices these young parents must make. AND how once a decision is made, doubts and fear still muddle nearly everything.

I hope this storyline doesn’t become a maudlin mess.

Oh, I also appreciated how they tackled political hypocrisy, the idol factory, and bullying.

Her brother did disappoint me though. Bro, stand up for her at school, don’t walk away.

Anyone else think that Jung Soo-hyun is conversing with a sister that is dead? We only ever see the sister in her home, and only when Soo-hyun is alone. There is a tragic story there, that I’m sure will lead to noble idiocy around episodes 13-14 or so.
