About this eldest brother and the 2nd brother. Are they from the same mom or they also have different mothers?
That part is really confusing as the brother and the mom never treats him as part of them

    They have the same mother but we don’t know who their father is. Why the mother preferences the second son over the first or when she first started preferencing him we don’t know. It’s possible they do secretly have different fathers or that she just recognises a kindred spirit/monster in her second son.

    Honestly, the second son makes very little sense to me as a character so it’s something I’m struggling with.

      Anyone will think she’s not his mom
      That guy is a bit crazy (which is a facade) but I hate parents preferential treatment to their kids and these ones makes it too obvious!

    They have the same dad. The mom dislikes the first son because he’s kinda just floundering about life without any talents and can’t take over the MC kingdom, whereas the second son does. So she prefers him because he’s her golden key to the kingdom, so to say.
