What’s good in C-Dramaland? I haven’t seen anything in a while and I’m getting the itch.

I’m slooooooooooowly getting myself through “The Untamed” and keep going back and doing snippet re-watches of my all-time C-Drama love, “Ashes Of Love”, and then I’m watching “Chinese Restaurant” for C-variety

I should go back an try again with “The Untamed.” Maybe. We’ll see.

“Ashes of Love” is now your all time favourite C-Drama?! I’m not say much, but, ummm, did I not have a hand in you watching that? I can’t remember. 🙃

I (can) definitely rewatch some early parts of the drama.

Yea, everyone is raving about “The Untamed” here on Dramabeans, but it’s taking me, personally, some more time to get into it 😅

The Taiwanese drama? Did I do something to you? Do you not like me? 🙃

Does this mean you don’t like Taiwanese dramas – or just ex bf and gf that never let go? Granted they were annoying but the main couple were amazing.
It helped that there were a few of us beanies who liked it and talked about it every week.

No, no. I like some Taiwanese dramas. It’s just that I didn’t like this one all that much. It really frustrated me for quite some time until I just dropped it. It wasn’t a satisfying frustration like “Moment of 18.” That’s just me though.

Well yes I agree that it was frustrating to watch, but I still enjoyed Jasper Lui and Puff and Puff’s best friend.
Mostly though, I think what helped was being able to talk about it with other beanies on the wall here. Sometimes it is more fun then actually watching the show.
Mostly though, I liked how it ended with her taking her own time to grow and then reach out to him when SHE was ready. personally I appreciated that part of the character development.

            Mostly though, Beanies are everything!

@hades dongsaeng!!! Nice to hear from you!

I have been stuck in The Untamed rabbit hole for weeks now after finishing watching the drama. Reading the novel, listening to the audio drama, and watching the donghua, and all of the drama’s bts and actors’ interviews fuel my obsession to no end! I do recommend that you pick it up again. This is truly a great complex story that has so much satisfying emotional payoff.

I have checked out the first couple episodes of The World Owes Me a First Love and it seems like a perfect fluffy drama to counteract all the feels I still have for such an epic story like The Untamed.

      @kimbapnoona my noona, is that you(na)!? 🙃

Argh. Everyone keeps saying how great “The Untamed” is. Argh. I tried it when it first came out, but then the CGI kinda annoyed me. More than that though, I really didn’t like the hinting–strongly or otherwise–that this was also a queer romance story. I know they’ve gotten away with a lot in this drama, but still. I’ve become really fed up with settling. Granted, there is much more to the story than queer love and that is the only reason why I’m thinking about getting back in.

Ohhhh…fluff. That sounds like a much needed crutch right about now. Thx!

Really – give it a few episodes and it is marvelous. It isn’t so much the implied queer romance for me as it was the relationships between everyone and all the magic and spells and GORGEOUS costumes and sets.

Well okay Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji that was fun – but it was that Ww teased LW so much…..
yep -it might be my favorite drama for right now.

    Hades! Where have you been?!

What’s good? Of course The Untamed. 😂 Like @kimbapnoona, I’m still stuck in the land of The Untamed. I’m already doing a slow rewatch. Finished the novel about a month ago. Also moving slowly on the audio drama.

The only C-drama I finished while waiting for new Untamed episodes was The King’s Avatar with Yang Yang. The first 13 episodes was wow. The gaming world is pretty awesome. And like most C-dramas, this does drag a bit but I always have my trusted FF button. Overall, it was good. There’s no romance but Yang Yang carried the show and super handsome while doing. 😍

I am trying to watch The World Owes me a First Love. I’m on episode 8 and it’s been pretty fun so far. Every time I watch an episode, it’s always the male lead who makes me smile. @dramafan12 has watched the whole show. Her comments didn’t sound promising at times. But I do plan to continue and see how far I get.

Oh, I did finish Before We Get Married. I don’t know why I didn’t drop it and continued to watch it real. I guess I was hoping something would happen. But it never did. 13 wasted Saturday evenings. 😂
