I think it is safe to say, this was the most entertaining drama I watched this year. Entertainment guaranteed!
Everything was on point – The fashion, the OST, the makjang, the twists, Birth secrets, fancy fish funerals, earring game – you name it they got it.
But that epilogue! Augh! I hated that epilogue. I wish I hadn’t seen it and just stopped watching once the bloopers were done 😡 what about Wan Soo 😭 like I don’t want to feel sorry for him too much – he walked around freely for 15 years, someone had to go to fail for him, he robbed a family 15 years of their lives apart, he had the audacity to have a close relationship with Seok Hui when he caused her misery!!! Writer, why did you write off Wan Soo!
They never explained it, but I believe he had blocked off that memory for many years due to ptsd. He never felt sorry for Seok Hui because he simply didn’t remember it happened, until Director Han called him out.
Well I hope that may be the case. That he didn’t turn himself in because he had forgotten this happened. My heart was broken for him, but then I realized the misery he brought to other people and I wanted to unbreak my heart.
I had a flashback of that time he was the only one who gave Seok Hui a hug on that day and how it was a fond memory to her. ☹️☹️
They never explained. Whether he forgot or he didn’t remember doing it. It didn’t make sense. And it was so upsetting. It was so hard for Mo Seok hi. To hate someone she cared about all along.
He got away too easily. That way I liked it when Han said she takes responsibility. That whole TOP team got away too easy.
at least they don’t have the power anymore. So hope they are not dangerous.
In a way it looked like Wan Soo’s death affected Han more than chAirman or prosecutor.
Whatever.
At first I didn’t understand that part about Han remembering Wan Soo’s question about what his next life will be like. In hindsight I don’t think she felt remorse or wanted to take responsibility at all. She didn’t want to be the failure he was. Wan Soo said failure isn’t because you didn’t try hard enough and she doesn’t agree. So she didn’t commit suicide and took the punishment, which she knew would be lighter if she admitted. She still won at the end, by her choices.
