So what has got me all excited…

    1. Kyung is in the Flower manga. Basically playing the same rich, arrogant asshole. Not sure whether he’s engaged to Danoh, but he is superior to Haru. Haru is possibly his underling, in the dark over his roots. But Danoh wants to marry him tomorrow, so this means she’s free to marry, unlike the present manga, and Kyung refers to her as someone’s daughter, not my betrothed. I was waiting for him to say My betrothed, but he didn’t, so phew.

    2. The old manga ends in tragedy. I’m thinking Kyung stepped in, and married Danoh forcibly, and Danoh and Haru take their own lives, like Romeo and Juliet, star-crossed lovers.

    3. Their story spills over to the present manga, because their love is so strong it has created waves, and threatens to disrupt the Candy leads in the present manga.

    4. Juda seems so badass in the dark room. She howled with rage, and threw off her shoe. She looked angry and frustrated. She likes Dohwa. I think she is self aware, but she’s keeping quiet about it.

    5. Saemi senses Juda’s not as sweet and innocent as she looks. From Saemi’s eyes and mouth, Juda comes off as a cunning, manipulative girl. Saemi says Juda engineered the kiss with Namju..I was shocked, then thrilled…so excited about this reveal.

    6. Saemi reveals that she saw Namju first…and sincerely likes him… hm…Namju is so cheesy and keeps sprouting those cheesy lines with a blank face, and acting cool…he got the three stooges to design the love stage for Juda. Hilarious. And i hope Saemi gets Namju, and that Namju becomes self- aware fast.

    7. Kyung’s younger brother definitely knows what’s going on.

    8. Dried Squid is a nice guy. He was there in the first manga omg, and he knows tragedy is in store. He just wants to avert it. Such a terrific actor, he switches from menacing to sad in a minute.

#2/3. Interesting theory. I think BK ended up killing someone due to his rage. May be Dan Oh?
BecAuse his character is written that way and he behaves that way.

#4 I think she is playing both men. Ah she is keeping her options open. I don’t think she likes either of the boys.

SaeMi is a bully and so is NamJu. They both deserve each other.

#7. Boy is self aware. I think he is trying to protect BK because he knows what happened in Flower. Back to my theory, BK killed someone in rage and cutie bro remembers it.

I am with you on #2/3. It parallel with Dan Oh dying in Secret.

Flower definitely had a tragic ending but I’m not sure if it’s Baek Kyung who killed Dan-oh. I don’t why but I keep thinking Nam-ju’s mother has to do something with it, Jin Mi-chae recognized her so it means she’s from Flower as well. She could be someone who wanted Dan-oh killed, and, okay, this is so far-fetched but humor me for a minute.. what if Haru was her spy and she ordered him to do it for her.. why, I don’t know either!

Also, if the above theory is wrong (which it most probably is), and Baek Kyung is the one to kill Dan-oh, does it mean there was a sword-fight between him and Haru, and Haru got that scar from trying to save Dan-oh from Baek Kyung’s blade?

Omg. The scar. Yes, you could be right. And the mother, too. She is scary. I hope Kyung doesn’t kill Danoh. It would be too sad. They look beautiful in their robes though, especially Haru.

Completely forgot about the mother. Yeah, she is not good news.
I wonder if JuDa remembers her fate from another drama and hence is cautious about liking Nam Ju.

      5. Either it is the usual dialogue that we get in every drama from second lead villain girl to candy
      OR
if we believe juda was self aware since the beginning, then what does that tell about the whole 9 episodes we watched..
she probably is THE first character to be self aware

Not sure about #8. If his objective is to prevent tragedy then why so secretive? And he keeps sprouting things I don’t like to hear, “Whaever the writer plans always happens.”

I think it’s because he’s been in so many of the writer’s works that he knows at the end it all carries out the way the writer wants, the fates can’t be changed so he just wants to save them the heartache from failing to do so!

How does keeping mum save them from heartache? Ignorance is a bliss theory? But they know something is going on already. Whg not spill the beans and figure this out together?

          2

I think Jin Mi-chae might have tried and failed, or have seen characters fail at changing their fates and that’s why he doesn’t want them messing up with the stage, or else how would he know about the “consequences and the punishments” if he hasn’t witnessed it 1sthand!

But that’s a bit counterproductive now, isn’t it? Because they didn’t know, now Haru is trying hard to change things (previously Dan Oh). Everything will get more messed up.

      4. I wonder why Ju Da is keeping it a a secret even though she must know by now that Do Hwa is self-aware too.

I think she’s only becoming self aware now. I don’t know really. She just seems to know so much more than she lets on. Like the scene she stood and watched Dohwa in the bakery. I feel like she likes Dohwa but can’t make up her mind.

Or disappointed that he gave up so quickly??

Yes I get that impression from her too. Maybe she, like Squid Fairy, remembers the tragedy of the past manhwa ( I wonder who she was if she was in it) and doesn‘t want to see it repeated so she plays along the candy part.
