as for me, when I can’t focus it’s usually because I’m having too much on my mind then my dear anxiety friend never helps .
Taking long walks while listening to music helps me, I just walk and walk and at some point I only focus on the walk, it’s a healing time for my brain and mind ^^
Adding some organization might help, doing list while you can’t focus so you see what you have to do, then make a deal with yourself it’s ok to lose attention but works gotta be done, so 20min of attention then change task to trick your brain ^^’
if it’s about drama/shows watching maybe drop the show and come back to it later haha x)
It may help to identify why you can’t focus. Is it because you are tired? Didn’t sleep well? Too much stuffs kn your plate? Or you hate the things you need to do so you subconsciously trying to avoid them? For me, knowing the reason helps in determining the steps to counter it.
I am a graduate student stuck trying to make a dead project into a publication…its not impossible but I don’t find it interesting either. Saying it out loud is not an option as this is like a job but I really want to try something else.

you can work with a carrot reward , working seriously then enjoy a drama ep at night
for studies (or work it doesn’t change -_-) you have to do things you don’t really find interesting but there’ll be new tasks next ^^

Don’t forget watching k-dramas won’t make your brain to chill out! So keep away from social media and TV and other disturbing things and as well thinking about how many likes did you get for your post doesn’t help as well.
If you like dancing randomly in your bedroom or any physical activity can help. That’s why all those heroes are doing push-ups 😉

Well. Sometimes it’s impossible to pinpoint the cause. We can always skip step 1 and do the rest of the things you suggested. 👌🙂
