Good point. It does not excuse his behaviour at all. 😉 However, I was surprised that I started laughing bitterly the same moment and in the same way as Kyung did on my screen, so I cannot help but understand his anger in this scene. I believe it all started chronologically with the death of his mom and got worse from there. Fear not dear Rabbit friend, I shall never desert our Haru ship! 😉
It is definitely not a pass to be a jerk himself but abuse in a family does so much damage. The sad part being that the damage can reverberate for generations.

Is it though, Turtie? 🤔 Lots of people who had jerks as dad didn’t turn out to be a jerk. Exhibit A: Nam Sun Ho in My Country.

Oh, I am not worry about Haru (or ship) for a bit, Turtie. That one has sailed a longggg time ago! 😉
I was just thinking of your statement that the bit about his mom and overall horrible family members is the root of his bad behaviors.
