On WX’s Core – he returns as MXY and MXY has a core, albeit a weak one!
So, I don’t know why people keep asking everywhere what will happen to WX..
HE HAS A CORE NOW!
Remember, NHS’s core developed late.. And novel touches upon this in initial chapters that for many people they develop core late.. Genius kids are faster at it..
So, now WX has all his intelligence and LZ’s love making skills (dual cultivation) to help him progress..
Our guy is soon going to be unmatched with his new found demonic art skills and the awesome kung fu skills that he anyway had
I was curious about that too, I haven’t completed the drama yet. I thought he came back in his own body, with a spell that made people see him as MXY, which later faded when he woke with LZ playing. If that’s true he has only what he had before.
body is MXY.. even in drama.. because in a later scene ep 44 or 45
WX makes an offhand comment about weak body asking LZ to save him (in some episode, he does say something to effect that new body is also weak)
Yes, but he could call it a new body and still be HIS new body. If he had MXY’s body there was no need to use the mask when they met that Nie clan leader and JC wouldn’t have found him later when he took mask off before that.

drama wanted to keep the face same.. so they went with face morphing into WX
MXY used to wear mask.. so it wasn’t that WX was wearing mask to hide himself.. story’s setup gives him that ammunition without raising suspicions of other characters
It’s not clearly explained in the drama probably due to censors (they forbid possession and transmigration). I dont recall the drama ever mentioning what happened to WWX former body. Just that no one could find it. But since the drama was so ambiguous about it it’s kinda up to individual interpretation.
The reason of the mask was simply to keep consistency in the drama to novel where no one would be able to recognize him.

Maybe I’m choosing to believe the theory about the spell with MXY’s face and WWX getting his own body later, because it’s more romantic eheheh. Also, really, I don’t get why LZ would tell him to put the mask in ep 35 and WWX agreeing it was their old friend, they were disguising him, and that’s only needed if he knew his face. The scene in 34 is even easier, when he takes off the mask JC recognizes him immediately that time. I don’t think it was ambiguous, probably because the possession is forbidden.
