Ah Yuan was fortunate enough to have been saved by the rich uncle with a roof over his head LOL. He certainly chose well 16 years prior, when he selected the thigh to hug. Little Ah Yuan choosing Lan Zhan over all the the adults on that busy market street made it possible for LZ to help WY stablise Wen Ning, and visit his Burial Mound home. It also led to one of the most heart-warming family reunions 16 years later.
Hah! I was thinking, I hope @bebeswtz doesn’t get spoiled by these pics. I waited a few days before posting them. But you haven’t got there yet… well it’s so sweet, as you guessed.
It’s okay!! I don’t mind spoilers haha It doesn’t ‘spoil’ my watching experience, rather, it makes me anticipate the moments even more 🙂
But in all honesty, I had no idea that Si Zui is actually Ah Yuan, and it didn’t click until a recent episode, because there really wasn’t any clues XD
I love how WWX was the playful parent who amused A Yuan, entertained him, made him laugh and also annoyed him, LOL! But we all know how much WWX missed A Yuan when he came back to life 16 years later. If anyone has difficulty imagining the depth of WWX’s grief, sorrow and regret – just think of those people he lost – Shijie, his adoptive parents and A Yuan were probably the top.
I love Lan Zhan who was absolutely soft and caring in his own way towards A Yuan. I can never forget that it was Han Guangjun who bought all the toys for A Yuan and remembered to pick them up even while they were rushing back to the Burial Mound.
It was Lan Zhan who found A Yuan and somehow managed to bring him up in Gusu despite his own physical and mental state in those years right after WWX’s death.
It was Lan Zhan who thought of A Yuan first when he didn’t tell WWX about Sizhui’s real identity.
It was Lan Zhan who assured WWX that Sizhui is still his child.
Both WWX and Lan Zhan are incredibly self-giving. It’s probably one of the reasons why they are soulmates.
I like what you say about how Lan Zhan assured WWX that Sizhui had a connection to him as well. LOL, WWX was the one who taught the 3-year old about replacing a good book (or something) with something naughty … and to look at pretty ladies. ‘Best’ role model ever! 🤣
Yes LZ was extremely self sacrificing and generous. He could see that WY really missed Ah Yuan and when the time was right, he was going to tell him. Seeing that Ah Yuan beat him to it, he gave his lopsided smile and was then eager to assure WY that he too had, had a part in Sizhuis’ life. So sweet, really. ☺️ 😃
Lan Zhan is extremely sensitive to Wei Ying. Remember the rabbits? When WWX commented that they only recognise their owner(LZ), he was quick to pass one to WWX.
I think this is why the story worked so well for people who are heterosexual. Which girl would’t want a perfect boyfriend or husband like Lan Zhan?
