I want to brag about my kid (4 and a half) today. I love his drawings!!! First one are knights the second one are american soldiers fighting german ones in WWII.
These are quite amazing! What we do here at home is putting these in cheap frames and add them to our “exhibition”. My kids love showing off when someone comes to visit, and now they are also enjoying seeing the stuff from “when they were little”
He saw a little documentary about Le Havre in his grandparents place, but we have lots of history books he’s looking at. We restricted most of them, because of the violence but there’s lots of comic books he likes to “steal” from his dad’s library. But Brittany coast is full of german bunkers and when going for walks he is learning little bit of the history. He remembers most of it but mixing lots of stuff in his little head and we have to correct him. I have to explain him that war isn’t good for anybody and it’s scary.
He swapped naturally from Zorro and Spiderman administration to knights. He has lots of books and my dad and me who are providing him with self made wooden sword and shields because Romans, Vikings, knights had different ones and he loves history. But sometimes it can turn on me back when he is telling me that he will chop my head off when I don’t do everything as he pleases. Kids who didn’t experience a death ( poor war kids) can’t imagine the consequences.

Oh wow, what books are you reading to him or he’s reading himself? History is definitely my weakness so I am soooo impressed!

Oh wow, he’s really interested in this. But yes, it’s good knowing that you remembered to remind him that war is not a happy, fun thing.
