So the king is paranoid of his throne being stealen, so much so that he tried to murder a little kid with no real power. Yet he never doubted Yul Moo!?? I might have missed smth, can someone pls explain this!!??

I think its because the person who was prophesied to take his throne was someone royal who was born on a specific day and that his obsession with possessing the throne stems less from that and more from the idea of losing it to someone who wasn’t even born at the time. I think he feels he would be cheated if he lost it after “earning” it in his mind. If that makes sense.
Ah, my bad. Yeah – that part was always a bit illogical to me. I think it’s because Yul-moo was so good at making it look like he didn’t want the throne that the king never gave him a second thought.

No no, I guess I should have been more accurate with my wordings. I don’t mean Nok Du but that little Prince who minister Ho was trying to install!

Yul Moo put something in the food he’s been feeding the King all those years.
