I finished ARSENAL MILITARY ACADEMY. No more episodes. No more Gu Yanzhen. No more squad. 😭

😭😭😭 I thought the ending was pretty much how a patriotic drama would end lol.

But I did like how Yanzhen and Xiang Xiang’s final battle came full circle from their first one. Xiang Xiang was unsure of what she had read in the books about defusing bombs and Yanzhen wouldn’t trust her uncertainty and picked the one instead that wasn’t her choice. In here, we see Yanzhen sought her for instructions and Xiang Xiang, though based from her memory, was confident delegating tasks to her team.

The boys wondered what they were gonna do after grad – well they’re now academy instructions and trainers! 😆

Yes, I’m not complaining about the ending. For a moment I was afraid the whole squad would die, but fortunately they didn’t. I cheered when they prepared their own mission as a team and they took down the whole Japanese base.

In the end Gu Yanzhen and Xie Xiang get to walk into the sunset together

Same! When Yanlin got shot I was like Nooooooo! Not you too! No more deaths. I’m glad he pulled through! Def, that was just a great team work… all students went in to take down the Japanese base.

I’m pretty sure I had tears when Yanzhen and Junshan saluted each other 😢😢😢 What a great camaraderie and they had so much respect for each other at the end.

Oh dear, my comment got cut off!

I was saying that I’m proud of my bebes. Ji Jin and Yanlin became academy instructors under Junshan’s watchful gaze, passing on what they learned. They’re all grown up. *cries*

And Shen Tingbai got his happy ending. I was so afraid he’d be killed by the Japanese, but he survived, and sassy Manting at the end had the best line: “I hear you’re going to start a steel factory. Are you also going to start a family?”

Auuugh so much feels at that very last scene, WishfulToki. It feels like it was just one episode ago when they were being punished to run many laps for getting into petty and immature fights on their first day at the academy. Now they’re telling new recruits how to do things the right way!

It was def a great moment to see Tingbai’s patience and persistence paid off!
