I just finished watching it and I feel the same. This show surprised me in both good ways and bad. But the last three episodes are just so worth it and today’s was just so good and so satisfying. Two amazing episodes of two different shows in one day. Today is such a good day. ๐
Though technically it was yesterday night when I watched the other so that actually makes it two good days. Anyway I chose the perfect timings to live watch shows and then join Dramabeans. I mean these two months have been full of very good dramas, even though I was not sure about watching dramas different from my usual choice of mostly Rom-coms. I mean My country, Catch the ghost and Pegasus market, even Miss Lee and I even wasn’t sure about continuing Nokdu after it became too serious. But I am so glad and even delighted I decided to watch them anyway.
It’s okay; posterity remembers him as a terrible king. Let him smile all he wants. We know he was an power-hungry immoral creep (in real life and in this show).
I was confused for few episodes when the writer decided to depict him as a nice ahjussi. It was so jarring to see him the next moment as power hungry monster.
@cherryinbloom The characterization and plotlines in this drama are all half-baked except for Nokdu and Dong Joo. I was excited when Yeol Moo turned evil and bloody, but he didn’t mount to be anything more after that. The crazy King was shown to have no qualm in slaying anyone with sharp objects, yet, he let Nokdu got away just because the Queen threaten to kill herself. I was surprised he didn’t slay her himself, actually.

#Nokdu31-32 (Final)
So much cute! There’s so much cuteness at the end that I forgive the show for not wiping that smirk off Yeol Moo’s face.

But the actor did such a good job portraying him! I loved to hate him but I kind of felt sorry for him too.

At the end, he did let NokDu and Dongju go and live their lives together.
And he did love to feed people food he made himself.
And,…the mad king depicted in this drama really did need to be dethroned.

I was disappointed with the ending for the crazy King. I expected it to be more bloody. But… I forgive.
