It’s true what they say.. Hell hath no fury like a Jang Nara scorned.. A+ performance as usual.

VIP has a well developed story for its supporting characters but I really don’t buy the affair between LSY and Yuri. They just don’t have the chemistry to make it believable. I’ve never seen other works of LSY but he looks like a fine actor, at least he makes a very serious and deep-thinking face well. maybe his character needs a bit more love fr the writer? Cos by the time they let us have his back-story i already thought he was a jerk and the sob excuse for the affair totally unacceptable. And Yuri is definitely not as innocent as she’d like people to believe. To me, she gives off a sly/sneaky vibe.

As for Mina, the poor woman is practically having a breakdown. If only she could trust & talk more to her husband – like he said, he may be an idiot but he’s still her husband.

I want more of Hyun Ah writer-nim! More Hyun Ah, less boring VPs politicking. Please!

I think Sung jun and Yu ri’s lack of is by design. Sung jun likes a project in women and his wife was no longer a project for him. And since we know there was a child at one point coming and they lost, Jung sun was probably hurting and then found strength and confidence again
( and we know she is really good at her job) and Sung jun more than likely got bored and then saw this doe eyed, ‘innocent’ and needy Yu ri who saw Sung jun for what he was and pounced.

It is telling that he had not one bit of romantic interest in Hyun ah because Hyun ah had confidence and then some to spare and Sung jun just couldn’t have that in a woman. He would never be Hyun ah’s hero and she will never utter those words to him.

Like @larelle79 mentioned, the only reason Sung-joon was attracted to Yu-ri is because they were able to pity each other. Although he won’t admit it, he loved that she was needy and seemingly innocent. I wonder how he views her now that she’s being treated differently as the VP’s daughter. Does he still feel bad for her? Anyways, neither the characters of Yu-ri or Sung-joon needed to be well-written. Their purpose is arguably for us to hate them.

On the other hand, Jung-sun, Mi-na, and Hyun-ah are written beautifully, so I’m loving VIP so far.

@larelle79 @sukstan yeah i did suspect LSY only liking Yuri cos she seemed pitiable. That would explain how he could still be so formal w her, he’s basically an emotionless rock. Remember that scene where he cried in the car? I was thinking why can’t you have shown this emotion in front of your wife!?!

The scene where he cried in his car was sooo out of character for him I was shell-shocked. LSY did do a really great job acting it. I wish he could emote in places other than his car.
