JADE DYNASTY: the movie with Xiao Zhan. Just, no. Too silly, dumb, bad production. They tried to fit a 60 episode drama into a less than 2 hour movie. But that’s just my opinion.

    My mom just texted me to say she liked it lol I’ll eventually watch it but I’ve not been anticipating it as it didn’t look very good to me.

      I was just wondering whether or not it was too silly and bad in my opinion because I was comparing it to Untamed whether I meant to or not!

        It does look a bit silly from the trailers I saw. We’ll see when I watch it 😅

    As it is called Jade Dynasty 1, I’m expecting that it’s supposed to be a prequel to the main story. Whether there’ll ever be a JD2 of course remains to be seen. I guess it gave a sufficient intro to all the characters and explained the change in Zhang Xiao Fan. The flying scenes were artistically rendered though and it did offer interesting cgi or blue screen vistas.
