I’ve watched this clip and the full ep. a few times today already, even tho there are no subs. XD I got the gist of the show from the comments but really, XZ is all I need.

I’ve watched this episode at least three times. The show is actually quite fun and has introduced new (to me) talented singers. It’s just that XZ is a plus here.

Same here! All the singers in this episode, junior and senior, are so good! I’m enjoying every performance. Once I got the rules of the show, you’re right, it’s pretty entertaining. I wish there are English subs, or that it will get subbed soon!

I wish there will be subs soon but I doubt it unless there are fan subs. But from what I can understand the interactions with the veteran singers are hilarious. This Group B is pretty talented but Group A is just as fierce. I’ve seen some of the singing clips but haven’t had time to sit and watch Team A’s episodes yet.

This is the premise of the show:

I love that despite entering the entertainment industry was by chance and never his first choice (seriously, no one—ABSOLUTELY NO ONE— enters the industry and says they want to retire from it with just 20 years lol), he still puts everything he’s got into all that he does— every drama, every variety show appearance, every live show, every interview 😍😍😍😍😘😘😘😘🥰🥰🥰🥰

Oooh! Thanks for the info! I’ve been trying to glimpse the comments for tidbits of information but didn’t think to actually google the show. LOLS. But wow, he said that? That’s a rarity indeed. But tbh 20 years of hard work are more than enough – I would wanna retire early and enjoy the rest of my life loaded and doing whatever I want. hehehehe

I think it’s because entering the entertainment industry and being a celebrity was never his (first) choice, regardless if he has the talent to show for it and to back it up or not, because many who do enter the entertainment industry and actually go to acting school and take their art seriously (but not saying that Xiao Zhan isn’t serious with the opportunities he’s given) see it as a life-long career path and something that becomes a part of themselves as individual people– not simply as a job that they go to from 9-5 every day.

I say this all the time, and I’ll say it again here: The guy has a good and steady head on his shoulders– and that’s what makes him all the more attractive 🙂
If he is realistic enough, mature enough, and pragmatic enough to think and say,
“Yea, it’s (acting) something that I enjoy doing and something that I take seriously, but I just don’t know if it is a life-long passion, and I know that there is actually something else that has my interest and my heart, so I will keep doing it for now, but I know my limit,” and knows to back away without trying to push and pull and make life difficult– that takes restraint and a mature individual to do so. He’s not letting all the popularity, fame, and money get to his head and have an influence over his personal choices

I agreed that he has a good mindset going into this, especially dealing with the rising popularity and all the problems it comes with. I’m excited to see him succeed – no matter what he chooses.

I believe that he is still a lover of music, because he’s learned to play the violin since he was little, but I think his passion lies in drawing (also something he’s learned since little), and because he went to design school for post-secondary (university)
