Here’s our (almost) last hurrah to the 2010s, with the Dramas Over Flowers gang’s personal best-of-the-decade lists. This is the one where we didn’t have to fight each other…only ourselves and our looooong lists of dramas we love to death.
(Spoiler: it’s a good list! No democracy was involved! We went to war and fought it out for what did and did not deserve to be in there. There was much texting and gnashing of teeth all month, but we finally got there, so check it out and share your own!)
Last year-end treat to come is our YEAR-END YAK, so keep your eyes peeled for our 2019 wrap-party!
it was brutal even with the distance! We used many polite emojis but were probably secretly baring our teeth at each other, hahaha! And I kept trying to negotiate a baker’s dozen instead of a top ten, but @laica firmly held her ground, bless her systematic, asymmetrical heart XD
Thank you, I’m bookmarking both lists! They’ll be a good reference to keep adding shows to my to-watch list.
I can’t imagine having to fight it out. Wow. *slow clap*
Without thinking too much, and judging by how many times I rewatched them and/or how many tears I shed, my favourites are: Chuno, School 2013, Flower Boy Next Door, Misaeng, Secret Garden, Healer, Faith, Gaksital, The Princess’ Man, Nokdu Flower.
I love your list! I can’t believe I haven’t managed to watch Gaksital yet *ashamed* And I almost let Nokdu Flower go by until everyone started talking about it in the year-ends – on the list! Though I’m actually right now watching Tale of Nokdu, which is aaaalmost the same thing, haha okay it isn’t at all
Best dramas that I watch again and again, or just watch favorite scenes now and then:
Avengers Social Club: squad goals
Because This is Our First Life: do I really need to say?
Chicago Typewriter: house goals
Fight My Way: Dongman for the win, but Ae-ra is personality goals
Goblin: Gong Yoo, this was my gateway drama, so…
Liar Game: Villainous goals
Lookout: Revenge goals with a side of heartbreak
Radiant Office: officemates goals
Stranger: they were just great, that’s all
The Last Empress: SSR and Jang Nara are perfection
Best dramas that I can’t watch again:
My Ahjussi: I wish I could watch it again the first time
Save Me: Don’t buy the water
The Guest: I mean, if I need an exorcism, I know who to call.
I lurked for a while, after discovering Goblin recaps, but didn’t register until I needed to defend BTIOFL’s Se-hee from those that didn’t understand him.

What are your favourites? (qualifying dramas have to be from between 2010-2019!)

Saya, your taste is so hilariously exactly the same as mine while simultaneously being the exact opposite.

it’s probably for the best that you are separated by continents or there could have been bloodshed. Narrowing down to this would be brutal.

I had to stop reading just to come and say I love this line: “I don’t care if clever people hate it. “
