When the holidays are done but you are still stuck at home until your new job starts and you are not spending any more $$ then necessary – what do you do?
Well, you pull out an old camera with the macro lens, set up the tripod and makeshift studio under the skylight, grab a spray bottle filled with water, and start practicing with the flowers you bought at the store.
Of course after the first less than stellar attempts, you look on YouTube for videos on macro photography – and then practice some more.
Oh and this is between catching up with all the dramas I want to watch, cook and eat, then watch some more……
Thank goodness the new job starts tomorrow so I can get out of the house and starting earning $$ again.
Hope you like these as much as I enjoyed the practice!
Thanks everyone for the good reviews. I just finished catching up with Chocolate and now have to do some kind of prepare for work, but I don’t know what to do.
I’ll keep posting more photos-they certainly help pass the time!
I too like all the textures but unfortunately it’s waaaaaayyyy to windy on the Oregon coast here to get down close to the sand. But I do have some shots of shells and driftwood I’ll find and post for you!

Thank you – it is WAY too much fun to practice and now I realize I should have tried less with the water drops.

So jealous. I’ve always wanted to take a macro lens to the beach.

To the beach? What would you photograph at the beach? Interesting….

Sand, shells, rocks, driftwood. I love to look at the tiny things on beaches and all the textures.
