The permalink is just the URL to that post. If you click on the 3 dots lined up vertically , on the right side of the post, you’ll see the permalink option. Click on it and you’ve copied the URL.

If you click on the 3 dots lined up vertically , on the right side of the post, it’ll redirect you to that post itself. It doesn’t copy it.
Try it and you might see what I mean.
