The fuller interview with Xiao Zhan on the ‘Buying Ears’ short video. It was amazingly done all in one take. Congrats to Director and Actor for their great work. What talent all around! 😍 👏 😄

I really like his responses during interviews. I’m told (but have no clue if this is true) that celebrities are given the interview questions ahead of time so that they can prepare and will not say/do anything to discredit the production company, agency, etc. But the feel I get with XZ is that he pauses to put thought into his answers, and that they are pretty spontaneous.

The thing that is most appealing about him is that he seems to be a very authentic human being. I look forward to seeing how he grows as a person.
      What a jewel he is!

My sweet boi. I love watching his interviews because he is very modest, well-spoken and tries to give thoughtful answers. He just feels very professional and down-to-earth at the same time.❤️

I also don’t think it was a single take, I think they mean the whole video was all a single shot. Which means he had to have the whole script memorized since it wasn’t edited together in post-production. Still impressive though 😆

It is true that outlets have to provide the questions ahead of time for fear of the questions causing discomfort for the one being interviewed or inconvenience for the management of the one being interviewed.

I love him 😍 I love how he’s just so honest, patient, earnest, unapologetic yet gentle, kind, humble, sweet, thoughtful, introspective, modest, down-to-earth, and professional 🥰🥰🥰

Even though the questions are given ahead of time, I love how it seems like he wants to be as thoughtful as possible and true as possible, so it doesn’t even seem like he already has his answers to the questions in memory or practiced/rehearsed— what you get for an answer is his raw, true, and a true reflection of his own heart for the questions

I also have great respect for this mindset and choice when considering scripts and characters– he takes them as long as they make an emotional impact on him initially, regardless if it’s a big or small role or a big or small production– and then he tries in earnest and true fashion to try to bring the impact of the character/story that he has received and gives it to the audience
