30 but 17 showed up on Netflix and I randomly watched the first episode again.

Urgh. It brought back all the fils. Now I feel super nostalgic for when I lived-watched that show. All the great moments came flooding back: Call-Me-Jennifer, Baby chick, Don’t Think Fil!, being on the finse about this show for so long (and the short-lived f.i.n.s.e community) and the always-excluded fourth rower.

Right, I’m off to rewatch Ep 2.

I didnt even watch this drama and I was like, “aww, fourth rower. We see you.”

He and Lee Ri-an ran off together to University where he rocked the rowing team and she topped all her classes and they were in love forever #canon.

Wait – so the reason why he wasn’t ever with the other three wasn’t because he wasn’t invited, but because he was hanging out with Ri-an instead? Helping her get over her unrequited love? With a happy ending?

          **mind blown**

Yes, this is what happened. He did feel a bit ostracised from the core three and was often hanging on the edge of their conversations with Ri-an there nursing her giant unrequited love. And so they began to talk, to connect and to share their mutual love of literature. Finally they realised they were in love, almost unwittingly. They made tentative plans to attend the same University before confessing to each other in a sweet but characteristically pragmatic way. And the rest is history.
