Crash Landing on You | Ep. 7-8: Anyone else hoping for a big payoff with the leads’ moms? I’m curious about all three.

Jung Hyuk’s mom, Kim Yun Hee, pushed back against her husband’s dismissive putdown. As a parent, I can barely imagine the pain they’ve suffered after the loss of their first son. Although she realizes that her son’s recent actions put the family in danger, she’s most concerned about her son’s wellbeing. Se Ri’s mom, Han Jung Yun, is a cipher. She was unable to wholeheartedly love her husband’s illegitimate child yet now doesn’t hesitate to call Se Ri “my daughter.” Will she step up to protect Se Ri from her odious brothers? Seo Dan’s mom, Go Ayung Eun, might be a gauche cartoon but she’s got deep reserves of grit and love for her daughter.

Gawd, I love Dan’s mom, superbly played by Jan Hye Jin, who recently played the shotput-throwing mom in Parasite.

I love Dan’s mom. I have never seen her act before but she is totally owning her scenes here.
    I like your write up.
Am also very curious about Se-Ri’s step mom. I think she couldn’t love her but she is not evil to want her dead. She wanted to protect her sons because she probably knew the daughter was way smarter than her two sons combined.

Heh. It must suck to look at your family and realize you’ve raised a pair of sh*ts. If it’s really the case— as Se-ri’s team manager says—that the conglomerate cared more about stocks than making a family, the parents bare at least some responsibility in shaping such awful men.

Love your insight with the moms! I was surprised when JH’s mom snapped back her husband, she may look soft but can definitely stand strong for her son. JH’s dad also has a soft side too, hopefully he’ll eventually figure out a way for our poor couple. On another note, Dan’s mom’s English is so good, she doesn’t even have accent! I’m happy that Korean actors have been stepping up their language game <3
