Guys I has such a hard time just now trying to post on dramabeans because they kept saying I was using an inappropriate word! So I broke down my post in pieces and posted it (deleting the post if it would succeed) trying to find out what phrase was it. I finally realised that its the phrase “for gods sake” thats being highlighted as inappropriate but no–when I posted this phrase alone it succeeded so I looked into the rest of the phrase again trying to figure out what word was exactly inappropriate.
Guys pls tell me what’s so wrong in the phrase “it doesn’t matter who did it first”!?
None of the words themselves are inappropriate but apparently the phrase is and when I changed it to “it doesn’t matter who was the first one” I was finally able to post! The meanings and the words are the same, I just made a little change in the placement and it made a difference! Uh why!?
Was it context!? Because I thought dramabeans would stop me again from posting but it didn’t!?? So it was only in that post that I couldn’t use this sentence!!?? Somebody pls explain!
Maybe it wasn’t the meaning of the phrase, or the choice of words, but rather some extra characters that DB didn’t accept (especially, if you had copied/pasted it from another application). And the inappropriate word messaging was just a generic response .
But I don’t work for DB and I’m not a web designer, so I have no idea.
I broke down my post in three parts and posted them separately! The part that was unable to be posted I further broke it down into several parts so I’m pretty sure this phrase was it!
DB has never liked the word “first” but I though they changed it after the show BTIOFL. So maybe a word after the “first” will let it through but before a period??? I don’t know if it’s that precise or not though.
I think in the old days there used to be a trend of people jumping into recap threads and posting the word ‘first’ to secure the first spot so they could post below it later. No idea why; some sort of comment real estate grab. So I get why they’d try to ban it. And you could be right – it could be the word ‘first’ combined with the period. I just wish the ‘inappropriate word’ error would give you some details.
And if you want to see a very old discussion about hijacking recap comments, look no further than the “first” episode of Heirs! Dear @redfox inadvertently got herself tangled in the middle of one! http://www.dramabeans.com/2013/10/heirs-episode-1/

Who knows. How about the fact you can use the word ‘spoiler, and the word ‘alert’ but not the two together?

Are you sure it wasn’t due to any other words?

And when @javabeans used to interact with the masses, albeit to gently scold the discussion back to the actual drama! http://www.dramabeans.com/2013/10/heirs-episode-1/#comment-1075412
