And I finished Chocolate 🍫!!! I don’t want to spoil, but it is SO GOODDDDDDDDDDDDD!

My favorite show for 2020. End of the story.

    I really like it too. Its theme and most of the little stories were relatable for me.

      I really think it’s a very good show. Besides, they have really good sponsors (Dyson, the car and Godiva). 😊

        I’ve been hanging around Soompi forum lately. There are more viewers who enjoyed the show who have shared all kinds of posts there. Just thought I’d let you know, in case you might be interested 😊

          I’ve heard a lot about Soompi. Thanks for letting me know 🙂 I might check it out some time soon. Btw, do you know what Discord is? I saw many Beanies mentioned about it, is it some kind of a forum like Dramabeans?

            Discord is like a messaging app of sorts. I think one needs an invitation link from one of the members there. I have no idea how it’s being handled here.

            @mei123db Hey! thank you so much! I’ve clicked the link you sent and boom! there are many interesting comments and best of all, I got to see many pictures of the leads! I can’t believe I’ll come to love Ha Ji Won (have never watched her work before), and YKS is just so charming. God forbids me I didn’t know he has a girlfriend (Honey Lee) so my experience watching both of them forming a relationship in the show just feels so real. This show will live within me for a very long time :))))

            You’re welcome! Glad to know it worked. There’s a lot of stuff that I didn’t know about our leads either. Lots of interesting details and insights too. Have fun! ☺️

            Hi @mmmmm! How have you been? It’s been awhile since our favorite show ended.. I’ve been hit really bad with Chocolate fever, I can’t seem to get over it yet 🤣

            I wonder if you had seen this thread already..

            @mei123db Hi there!
            I feel you! I mean after Chocolate ended, I searched the leads’ names on Google and clicked so many links related to them. YKS is charming, period, and HJW is just beautiful. When I look at her pictures, I feel like she might possess very likable qualities in real life. I even binge-watched Secret Garden because she was in it. It was an old-school show which I wasn’t in anyway interested in watching until now. It was an ok show, which led me to my next drama I just finished up to the most current episode: Crash Landing on You because Hyun Bin is in it.

            I am planning to rewatch Chocolate in whole again. I also have a feeling that I’ll like it even more this time. I just want all the feelings from my first watching die down a bit, so I can start watching it again with my plate clean.

            P.S. Thanks for sharing the Soompi thread! I can feel them, really. Another thing that I secretly want to share with you is that after Chocolate ended, I already finished hot chocolate beverages a few times in luxurious shops, e.g. Paul’s and Godiva. Always remember how lovely Chocolate was while drinking hot chocolate irl.

            @mmmmm
            That’s so nice! I can only imagine how lovely those moments must be like and having experienced the drama while soaking in that luxurious goodness must be extra special.

            I think HJW and YKS had really incredible chemistry and are such fantastic performers which I think was partly what made the drama work so well. I’ve seen HJW previously in Empress Ki. It’s not an easy watch but I was impressed with her performance there. I have yet to discover more of YKS. It was my first time seeing him in Chocolate.

            I knew you’d find that thread entertaining. The YKS squad are one of a kind haha. I’m going to check out two of his movies for now — one is Mal Mo E, based on true events during Japanese Occupation of Korea and the other is Lover of 6 Years with Kim Ha Neul, I think he was about 10 years younger in that movie. As someone said, he’s just so adorkable. 😂

            @mei123db Hello there!

            Just a tiny bit of advice, if you have to choose between Paul’s and Godiva’s hot chocolate, go for Paul’s.

            I LOVE the chemistry between the leads. Everything in the show is just lovely and I can see attention to almost every detail. I started watching the show again and I’m now at ep.2. It’s strange, actually, because apart from Titanic and Peter Pan, I haven’t really rewatched anything or reread anything in my life. I’m that easily-bored person. Chocolate becomes my latest exception; I don’t know why but I think it’s casted its spell on me.

            Pls let me know what you think about those two movies YKS is in. Truthfully, I am not into period shows, so I might just skip the first one. I’m more interested in the second movie you’ve mentioned.

            P.S. I have finished two shows after I finished Chocolate: Secret Garden and Crash Landing (up to the current ep.) and they highlight how special Chocolate really is. Those two are good too, but somehow Chocolate is very different from them :).

            @mmmmm
            Thanks for that advice! I’ll keep that in mind.

            I’ve been quite busy lately and only had the chance to watch MalMoE: The Secret Mission. It’s quite good. The cast of some veteran actors and actresses make it a worthwhile watch, in my opinion. As an added surprise, Min Jin Woong (better known as Tae Hyun aka Cha Young’s brother) is part of the cast too. Since it’s only 2 hours, it’s fast paced and heartfelt story and poignant moments deliver very well. Needless to say, YKS turns in a commendable performance. The first hour is quite fun actually.

            I think most of the other viewers opted to watch his dramas, namely The Good Wife and Last. But I know what you mean, Chocolate is a special kind of drama. And I’ll rewatch it for sure at some point later. I’m on the same page as you are with CLOY. For some reason, it doesn’t seem to have the same pull as what Chocolate did for me. The only other show I’m live watching now is RDTK2.
