Day 6: Seems like Biblical quotes are popular at the moment. I’ll throw mine in the mix as well!
Song of Songs 2:10-13
My beloved spoke and said to me,
‘Arise, my darling,
my beautiful one, come with me.
See! The winter is past;
the rains are over and gone.
Flowers appear on the earth;
the season of singing has come,
the cooing of doves
is heard in our land.
The fig-tree forms its early fruit;
the blossoming vines spread their fragrance.
Arise, come, my darling;
my beautiful one, come with me.’
@ally-le: It is SO R-rated! HAHAHA! I actually have this commentary that mentions how erotic it is, but THEN in the exposition, even this commentator glosses over what the text is explicitly saying!!! HAHA! It’s just “assumed” that the more salacious elements would be naturally understood by anyone reading it. HAHAHAHAHA! Oh my!
Passages from the bible are always so uplifting, even if we don’t see it in the moment (like I was experiencing a few days ago), so thank you for this reminder, @pineapplegongzhu
Hey bb, long time no see! (I have been truant from db for a while now and facebook for literal years, I miss our old MLSHR gang).
That is a beautiful piece of verse but from what I know of the Song of Songs….a PG-13 excerpt? Still incredible and uplifting though, and much-needed now.
@pogo1: WHAT’S UP, GIRLFRIEND?!! MISSED YOU AND THE MLSHR gang so much! I’ve also been truant from DB for a while. It was Crash Landing on You that brought me back.
Oh, Song of Songs is definitely rated R generally, but I’d say this G rated excerpt, no? I mean, it’s not as if either of them are describing the other in euphemistic terms. It’s a sweet love call, n’est ce pas? 🙂

Song of Solomon (Songs) is R rated for most of it. It’s better than a kdrama kiss!
