        Thanks for that as well. I have to agree with you guys. This long radio silence is likely the result of an inability to speak, not an unwillingness to speak. Javabeans & Girlfriday have been running this site very professionally for many years now. It’s unlikely they would just abandon it. Legal troubles could indeed be the issue.

      My take on this whole thing. Regardless of what’s going on with DB, they should communicate something to their members and more often. I use the word members because that is what we are. While the service is free we help keep the site alive via:
      [1] Visiting the site.
      [2] Generating content by posting on the site.
      [3] Encouraging other members to revisit the site often as a result of #1 & #2.
      [4] Telling other people about the site.
      So at this point, we are giving more that we are getting back. If there were no members, there would be no DB. Substitute DB for FB and it’s pretty much the same concept except one is significantly bigger.

      I find it quite interesting that beanies are moving from being understanding to being frustrated. You can only be understanding for so long. What hurts the most though is that we all are trying to make DB better but the lack of proper communication leaves you exasperated. I don’t know how many times I’ve harped on the communication problem in the past. I don’t know how many times I’ve tried to help out and give suggestions. In a way, I don’t really care that much any more. It is what it is. When you’ve reached that point, you know you have a problem. I just hope by the time they unveil whatever they’re going to unveil that they haven’t lost too much of their audience by then.

        I think you’ve definitely done your share on this site, especially in finding ways to discuss dramas that are organized and informative. Kudos to you! I still think this site is useful too, because I do take everyone’s recommendations and criticisms, and have found like-drama-minded individuals to base what I watch on, including you! Hope to see everone around, even if things go off the rails—aren’t most kdramas like this as well? Life imitating art, it seems!

          Aw, shucks. Thx for the kind words. I haven’t done that much and other beanies have done similar things. lol. Plus, I wouldn’t have done half of those things if it wasn’t for beanies like you, so you and the mega posters deserve a lot of credit as well.

          I don’t think us beanies are going anywhere anytime soon and I don’t think the situation is that dire, yet. Plus, we’ve found alternative means of communication, so unless those two sites go down at the same time…lol.

    Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It’s as plausible as any. I really wish they would tell us a bit of what’s happening- even if it is just to say our lawyers advise us not to tell you anything.

    I love DB, but I haven’t read a recap in ages it seems. None of the shows I am watching are getting recapped. I now find myself using it to chat with all you wonderful Beanies!!

    Thanks @ally-le. This is certainly a possible situation. I’m saddened to think that this may be the case and that our beloved site may unfortunately be affected. I hope that if in fact something like this is going on, it is resolved in a positive and amicable manner. As always, I wish the entire DB Team all the best!
