Beanie level: Chaebol’s poor doppelganger

I had a crying session on my bedroom floor just now but all is well. Life is boring and lonely when I’m on summer vacation (Southern Hemisphere logic), live thousands of miles away from my family, don’t have enough money to go on a holiday trip and got rejected/pending on part time job applications. All I have to keep me company is The Lord of the Rings novel.

Hang in there. Use escapism for things that are not in our control anyway, films, dramas, novels always help.

Any Beanies in your area that you could meet?

Think about what you could do around you. Just a tiny thing can be enjoyable and doing something you wanted to do way a while ago can be a good way to spend time and not think about sad and depressing things. Reading The Lord of The Rings is great, finding an other hobby to do alone would be great. I’m from the Southern hemisphere too and I used to wander around a lot during summer and walk just anywhere to discover some places I didn’t know. Hang in there because your life can take an unexpected turn at any moment.

    Hwaiting!
When I’m going through a rough patch, I like to think that it’s because something good is about to happen! The best is yet to come kinda logic… idk if that helps.

And Ssook is a great gal. She shines enough that she could be the hero of her own story

I mean, can you blame him? She’s a badass, and totally amazing. If there was one thing I wish this drama had more of it was Ssook.

I went through an entire fanmade script and acted out all the main character’s lines and actions. I’m ready to audition for a real drama now. Just kidding, I’m a simple geek being a geek.

Now Nokdu hates his biological father and wants to kill him himself. I generally hate it when bubbly main characters get all dark but in this case… guys, I’m ready for palace coup action.

I am imagining Nokdu in the Shadow, hating the writer for doing this to him on Stage. Because he would never join hands with Prince N, ever, ever, ever. He would find a better way. He would not stoop to the level of his bio father. He would stay true to the father who raised him.

The Tale of Nokdu Ep 19-20
Is it just me who wished the well scene would\’ve gone differently? I was hoping beyond hoping that Dong Joo would manage to climb out of that well herself instead of being the usual damsel in distress. She\’s strong and high spirited, I felt it\’s something she\’d be able to at least attempt to do well. I was expecting her to climb up, and as her strength began to falter, Nokdu would pull her up the rest of the way. But nah, let Nokdu do all the work. As per usual.
But I felt a teeny bit better about that when Dong Joo was the one who pulled Nokdu in for the second kiss.
Like, FINALLY, girl! Took you long enough.

I liked how he made himself so vulnerable for her. Like he didn’t get all puffed up that he makes her want to live, he’s terrified that she wanted to die.

It was really realistic. It’s November, water’s cold, stones really slippy and slimy, she’s there for hours in clothes heavy and drenched, there’s no escape. At least once some writers made it close to reality.

If she would have strength of a trained climber, she would take of her clothes, wrap them in a bag, put a piece of it in her mouth for teeth grinding and if she would be enough tall, wrap stripes of underclothes around her feet and hands, press her back on the wall and glide with strength little by little by moving her back and feet and pressing with her legs on the other side of the wall. It would be very risky and physically exhausting and you won’t be sure you won’t gliss back.

Quite so.

How dare they play with my feelings like this. A mini father-son bonding time? The King with an innocent sense of humor? Cute, bubbly music to top it all off? Argh. I don’t know anymore.

Seeing a lot of posts about The Untamed. What\’s great about it?

I started it because of the rave on the fan wall. It wasn’t until 16 episodes in that I realized I had fallen for the show. What’s so good about it? Hmmmm for me it’s just that I loved every single side story even though I was not prepared to. I loved the relationships of family in the drama, of brotherhood, of knowing how one’s experience I. Life can shape who they are. And I loved seeing Beanies post BTS of the show.

It took me 27 episodes to finally get hooked, and it was because the chemistry between the 2 male leads was phenomenal. Plus, there’s tons of pretty all around and that helps!

Hmmm.. Everything is great about it 😍

I could write an essay but I’ll keep it sweet and short. The drama managed to evoke some incredibly deep emotions and feels in me which no other drama has managed to do to this level. That alone, despite the dramas flaws and issues, has made it my all-time favorite drama.

It’s gorgeous! Every actor, every costume, all the camera work. The chemistry between the leads helps too.
