Beanie level: Errand boy

I am finding it difficult to deal with all the beanie box pop-ups, sometimes even 2-3 at a time, screwing up with posting and reading.
Anyone else having similar issues?

This has got to be one of the least productive ad campaigns ever.
Once we have declined something 20 times do they think we will welcome it the 21st time?

Some how i feel the company that is running DB now, has hired/made a team to do ad campaigns but they are all newbies or novice at this thing, so they are trying this age old textbook examples on us to raise money, they are not as smart as some NGM shows like professionals who can solve the problems in very innovative ways! Lol!

      2
      1

Sorry what’s NGM? Anyway the campaign is pretty useless considering they only ship to like 4 countries. Unless the data shows their highest traffic comes from the 4 places, but still 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m mad because I signed up for the email and I still get the popup.

That’s terrible. Did you write to DB about it? I mean at least on other sites they stop bugging you after the initial decline or signup.

😂😂😂 are you me? Lol wapz so happy for all the love OTP is getting. I love how the spazz club keeps growing.

Throwback to that time uri OTP had their first date in their hometown, Beijing. Xiang Xiang purposely chose a dish she knew he would not like to tease him. She knows how picky he is with his food and use that against him that made her chuckle to herself. A playful cheeky side of Xiang Xiang that we probably won’t see if it weren’t for Yanzhen

It’s December already you guys. I’ve been talking about this OTP for two months now 😭😭

It would be nice to see a season 2 and 3 but focused on the other sisters : Seo In becoming a single mother and Jae In finding what she wants to do.

I’m very happy with this end. But I really liked this drama and all the characters. So if there was a possibility, I would love to see the story of her sisters and Jung-Jiho’s story in background.

oooh I am so glad the issues weren’t dragged out in episode 15 and the couple made up by the end of the episode. can’t wait for tonight to see the ending. I hope jung in’s mum can tell gi seok off for being such a jerk and causing all sorts of chaos for her family. so far, he still thinks everyone is on his side except for jung in and jiho. really delusional. and jung in’s dad is finally going to tell chairman kwon for messing with him!

*spoiler* argh I am still super upset about the preview for next week. jiho must have shown jung-in something that makes it seem he is still hung up about eun-u’s mum. I knew that things seem to be going too well for the couple, they just had to create the last bit of drama in the last 2 episodes. I wish they didn’t though. it would have been better if they just showed how jiho manages to win Jung-in’s parents over

    3
    1

I think the ending is that jiho will propose to jung-in and marry her without approval from her parents. it shows that he is willing to take the last step and throw away his pride. I really feel sorry for jiho. he was so traumatized by what happened with eun-u’s mum that he can’t believe happy things can happen to him, that he let that worry affect his relationship with jung-in.

I really think Ji ho does not expect to survive as a couple with Jeung in and that breaks my 💔heart.

    2
    2

@bobo10 @scifiwritir …the only thing that’s keeping me sane is the realization that they’ve played us before in their previews. I think it may be clever misdirection; I am more worried about what the moms decided.

      6
      3

I’m not so alarmist. I mean Pretty Noona had a happy ending! So I hope the same for this drama! :p

I think Jung In should be understanding, it took her 5 episodes to break up! It was her choice and she knows why. Jiho didn’t this chance. So I can give 1 episode to doubt :p
But I’m curious about what his friend said to Jung In. I think he should have let Jiho tell his own story. I don’t think Jun In will get back with Ki Seok, what her friend told her about running away was pretty right.

I think Chairman Kwon is interesting. He excepts from people to be strong, I think he respects people who confront him. But Ki Seok is weak and he thinks that he does what his father wants, his father will be proud of him. But it’s not the case.

      1
      1

yah I agree, it is a lot of pressure for jiho to be honest. if it doesn’t work out, he still needs to consider about eun u being hurt. after all the mistakes jung in did (like accepting the ring!, hurting eun u and jiho at the library) she should give jiho a chance. in the preview she was wearing a white dress coming out of the pharmacy. hopefully she is going there to find jiho and make up.

        2
        0

I do understand that our heroine needs to find herself before jumping into another relationship but her confusion aside, she shouldn’t give Kiseok a chance. She’s been giving him a chance for years now and he totally doesn’t believe that she ever loved him, or that he ever loved her. So why even ponder returning to Kiseok? Be away from both men for a while to sort out this mess. #MidDramaAngstPissesMeOff

    2
    1

I think she is just asking gi seok if he really wants that cos she is calling him out on it. she probably wants him to see that he is only trying to win jiho and it is not about her anymore.
if she is really considering being back together after all that he has done, it is really bad script writing!

If the show goes the sad route, I swear I will never watch any of their projects ever again!

Random thoughts on Episode 14 (27/28):
JiHo finds out about his ex, now married and with a kid. He hurts for EunU the most. The reason for her abandonment was unclear before and he thought it was because she couldn’t handle the pressure of responsibility. He knows this news will break EunU’s heart. He fears for the same thing to happen with JungIn.

JiHo’s second concern are JungIn’s parents ( though we have been shown it will be mostly the Dad) opposing to their relationship. JiHo doesn’t want JungIn to be hurt in the crossfire. Running away together won’t help either.

My optimistic view is that JungIn will stay by JiHo’s side through all of this. She was the one who proposed, for goodness’ sake. I will have faith in her.

I think the graver problem is her Dad. All the cultural issues are very real. I don’t know how this will be resolved unless he just cares for JungIn enough to trust her in making her own decisions. And, I don’t know, maybe SeoIn’s predicament will help him understand.

Would love to know what you and everyone think as well. I think what was said in the preview was misleading.

    4
    1

@mei Your observation that “all the cultural issues are very real” is why Ji ho doesn’t see a happy ending for them……he has too much ugly experience with society’s condemnation. Just look at how Ki seok went from mild-mannered milquetoast to rabid stalker over the possibility of our OTP’s relationship.

In Ji hos defense- it really noble idiocy to think that the cost of the relationship can be too dear? Jeong in will suffer if she’s estranged from her family, but my guess is she’ll suffer more being away from Ji ho.

      2
      1

True. JiHo’s always considerate and protective towards JungIn. Sometimes he’s too considerate to his own detriment.

I like what Pharmacist Wang told him, that he would regret it more if he just gave up. I love how astute she is.

        2
        1

Much as I hate Ji Ho’s breakdown, I think this is probably the least “annoying” way of showing whether or not Ji Ho can work through his inner demons. It would seem unbalanced and unsatisfactory if Ji Ho is the one who is the unflagging pillar, illuminating the path of maturity for Jung In, which Gi Seok takes great pleasure in doing. It seems clear to me that while Ji Ho told Jung In that his mind had been (somewhat) set to rest, he has not found the way to climb up the hole, from which Jung In has broken down his walls. And if this series ends with the lead couple getting back together only after years have passed within the space of a few minutes, I’m also never watching anything else from this writer.

          2
          0

@beantown I really hope it is just misdirection. argh really hate being left hanging like that. I think from the last episode, the mums seem like they had a talk and it ended well. it is Jung-in’s dad that need convincing.

@mei yes if the drama ends on a sad note I am also swearing off their dramas! i am still badly burnt from something in the rain.

I can’t wait to see what seoin has planned to end her marriage. seems like she is planning something big. maybe it will go down in flames that Jung-in’s dad will stop opposing the marriage.

Ki-seok’s smug mug in the preview has me gritting my teeth. I’m with everyone on the misdirection front.

Also so so so very curious what the Council of Moms talked about. Is it good news? Bad news? General Momishness? That preview offered no clue at all.

As far as Seo-in goes… anyone else thinking Si-hoon’s days may be numbered? *hums a lil Cell Block Tango*

Haha! He totally is. Though it’s super weird, because I find his face looks slightly different in each episode. It’s hard to explain – it could also be the hair.

from the preview after his talk with gi seok at the cafe, Jiho looks determined? hopefully, it will make him work harder to get jung in back

Almost forgot about Chairman Kwon! @thetinyl and I have been talking about him as a surprise twist. And @scifiwritir comment below makes sense to me.

“What i love about the chairman is that he is the most powerful person and because he is inscrutable, he becomes a kind of mirror of other people’s neuroses, expectations, worth, fears. His silences get interpreted by people who desperately want to please the topmost guy in the hierarchy and he probably is way more understanding about life and emotions than they give him credit for.”

If he can be understanding of JungIn’s situation, as GiSeok’s father, surely that must have bearing for JungIn’s dad too. And for GiSeok as well. His Dad tells him not to be like him.

    5
    2

*appears like poof* Yasss! I keep flip-flopping on Kwon, but this makes total sense to me. He’s possibly one of the most interesting characters in this drama. As much as Ki-seok continues to disappoint him, I think he’s actually showing that he cares for his son in the only way he knows how. I think he also likes Principal Lee, and wants to push Lee to do/be better, but again… in the way he knows how – which seems to be vaguely shady manipulation. I’m not sensing any real malevolence there, just a desire for people to be more than what’s expected of them and yet, he keeps getting disappointed. Except with Jung-in, I suspect.

      3
      1

I am not sure how to interprete the last scene when chairman kwon runs into Jung-in’s dad at the staircase and he hesitates to go back to his office. did he want to apologise for the photographs?

        3
        2

          Who knows?

Will we ever find out? Also who knows?

He just got Kwon’d. (I’m making it a thing.)

          2
          0

I think the chairman likes Jung-in’s dad but he doesn’t believe Jung-in’s dad would accept that friendship or love. In the same way that Kiseok cannot possibly believe that Jung In actually loved him for himself.

          3
          0

Totally agree.. he is actually a very good actor.. it is very hard to appear inscrutable but cunning and not be construed by viewers as deadpan / poor acting. I practically saw wheels turning in his mind when he discovered how low his son can go and he seems to be making some hidden resolve. Well, its either that or I am just cleaely looking for a happy path to an ending I want!!!

The simple act of entering your loved ones personal space was portrayed so beautifully. The fact she was in his home meant so much to him. That she felt comfortable enough yet was respectful to ask him if she could cook his ramen in his house. His smile was everything.
