This episode has me worried that JS and YR actually might not end up together. After last week’s episodes they better not do that to me.

    1
    1

Nope! They can’t not get together! The drama is going to tease us but I’m pretty sure in the end they’ll end up with each other!!

I hope you are right. I defended this relationship. I deserve (need) an ending where they get together.

Despite what a complete emotional roller coaster ride this epsiode was, can we talk about how awesome this scene was!!?
I was reminded of Bae Tami from Search WWW!!

I can\’t with Ma Ri. She\’s being so despicable ughh!!
Spoiler in the comment!

How can she actually place YJ responsible!!!!?? NO MATTER WHAT THE SOUL RESPONSIBILITY OF THE KILLINGS BELONGS TO THE ACTUAL MURDERER!! SO PLEASE STOP MA RI!!
All the DNA results proved was that YJ was someone close to the Subway Ghost!! ghghhh

    3
    1

UGH. Do not get me started on how irresponsible she was acting. You never blame the family of the victim for the murderer’s actions. It’s like blaming a rape victim for their rape – these are things that are solely on the shoulders of the people who committed the acts. Even if something was a catalyst for the action, it is not the victims fault. EVER. And accusing them of this is so heinous I practically had an aneurysm while watching. Jung Eugene is so lucky I already like her from other things because Ma-ri is The Worst and I wonder why the writer is being so lazy writing her when they are doing a pretty good job in all other respects.

        My sentiments EXACTLY!!!

        1
        1

The crazy part is that I still rely enjoy the drama overall, but I have to grit my teeth or yell at the TV when Ma-ri is doing her crazy ex-girlfriend act. Like, I love watching her take charge and be a good detective and even when she goes head-to-head with her mother, but then they lose all the goodwill she’s built up by making her act like a stereotypical harpy ex-girlfriend. It’s so frustrating.

Also was it just my subs or did she actually call YJ “mentally sick”

For me, it’s the same thing for Park Hyung-shik’s “Do-Intern” impromptu song from Strong Woman Dong Bong-soon. I always play it when I need a laugh.

So the king is paranoid of his throne being stealen, so much so that he tried to murder a little kid with no real power. Yet he never doubted Yul Moo!?? I might have missed smth, can someone pls explain this!!??

Shaman prophesy takes precedent over common sense *shrug*

I think its because the person who was prophesied to take his throne was someone royal who was born on a specific day and that his obsession with possessing the throne stems less from that and more from the idea of losing it to someone who wasn’t even born at the time. I think he feels he would be cheated if he lost it after “earning” it in his mind. If that makes sense.

    2
    1

No no, I guess I should have been more accurate with my wordings. I don’t mean Nok Du but that little Prince who minister Ho was trying to install!

      0
      1

Ah, my bad. Yeah – that part was always a bit illogical to me. I think it’s because Yul-moo was so good at making it look like he didn’t want the throne that the king never gave him a second thought.

Yul Moo put something in the food he’s been feeding the King all those years.

Ahh I was juggling four dramas with uni and now suddenly all of them are ending this week or the next except for one! Its kinds of a good thing as with my finals nearing I’ll have less distractions to fight but I’m also kinda sad 😪

Dramabeans is showing one episode of secret boutique again. I think I’ll hold it off until next week when I can watch this with the final episodes!
We’ll have one final epsiode of tale of Nokdu next week so I’m debating weather to watch this week’s or not. If I decide to not watch it that would mean I would have to avoid the fan wall so as to steer clear from spoilers but extraordinary you is ending this week as well and I really want to be on the beanie wall for it!!
Ahhh dilemma dilemma dilemma

Yah i think its because maybe the network doesn’t want to leave only one episode for next week!

Ok so I have found that when I add links to images from Google, the post does not get posted. However if I add video links or photos from mobile/computer the post isn\’t deleted. Can someone pls resolve this?

1
2

Yeah, that’s how it’s been. You can add images/videos from the original link normally, but not if you go through google images or gifs. Just keep going back to the original link. GIPHY links do work.

Ok so dong joo wants to kill the king because she thinks he ordered the deaths of her family so when/if she gets to know that it was actually minister Heo, then it should resolve her internal conflict, right??
I\’m saying all this without having watched this week\’s episodes, so no spoilers pls!

1
6

Nooooo, because it was on the king’s orders/with his sayso that Minister Heo went out to do that. So….no, I don’t think that’s an issue gonna go away easily.

    1

So the king knew about the will left by the late king? I thought he was unaware.

      1
      1

He knew but Minister Heo said he burned it the night Dong Joo’s family were murdered (and Dong Joo’s grandfather having it in his possession is why three lines of his family were cut down for deeeeep treason).

That’s also why the charred remains of it 20 years later served as proof of Heo’s treasonous thoughts – because he’d both lied about its destruction *and* kept it to support his attempt to put Prince Yeongchang on the throne.

I got a chance to watch a few more episodes of tale of Nokdu. In ep 5, Aeng Du calls Nokdu as \”sabangnim\” which the subs as well as dramabeans translated as \”honey\”. However, I remember in seven day queen, Chae Kyung calls the Prince as \”sabangnim\” after they were married but then it was translated as \”husband\”. Can someone explain this? Or is it just a matter of context!??

3
2

I don’t know the exact reason, but this is my take on this. Aeng Du did call Nokdu “sabangnim” and that is what one would use to call her husband. In this case though, Aeng Du isn’t really married to Nokdu. She just has a crush on him and sets herself to be his future bride. In addition to that, nobody calls their husband “husband” in English speaking countries, so I can see why it gets translated as “honey” instead.
