Beanie level: Eunuch in drag

In hind sight, I had a really bad day today.
I woke up late and was an hour late to class.
My balloons for my paper mâché mould kept popping and the structure was super flimsy, I had to throw away 3 hours worth of work (it’s for a class assignment).
Went to my part time job to have my coworkers argue in front of me and then nearly went into an argument myself because another coworker of mine was trying to blame me for her mistakes. It would’ve been my first time arguing with a coworker but luckily I restrained myself.
And my glasses snapped into two.

But I didn’t realise it was a bad day because I managed to talk to one of best friends, and saw this cute guy I’ve had a little banter with before (found out he just recently adopted a rescue so plus 1000 points). And I hanged out with my older brother ^^
It would’ve been an absolutely bad day and I would’ve felt horrid but I didn’t even notice.

    Isn’t perspective beautiful? I’m sorry that you did have those frustrating things happen to you (and I hope you can get new glasses soon!) but I love, love, love your perspective, and the fact that you were able to hang out with the people you care about, who helped you feel better.

      I’m so grateful for them because I think I would’ve been in a rut. I managed to get new glasses the next day and it was discounted too🥰

      The guy’s amazing but I don’t see him often enough, sadly haha😊

@하데스 I completely forgot to tell you I listened to Colde’s song, 마음대로! I love it!
The song sounds like something I would hear in a cafe and it’s perfect for fall weather. The music video is just an excuse for him to show how good looking he is 😉

      I loved 사랑해(I fxxking love you) and 와르르♥! The guitars in both songs get me really good 🙂

      Have you heard his music when he was in offonoff? Some of their music were a little depressing but a handful aren’t as sad. I recommend listening to Gold and 춤 ^^

      I feel that the drama would cover the webcomic in the first 2-3weeks. It already covered almost half of volume one in this week alone. I would give it a go but I can’t help but compare lol I prefer somethings in the webcomic but it is the first week and I might be nitpicky🙃

        Interesting. I know the writer of the drama is the webtoon writer, so maybe she is like “ah finally I can do everything I have planned RIGHT NOW” lol.
        Or maybe the director has other ideas.
        I’ve only seen one episode yet, so I can’t say much, but webtoon and kdrama are two very different mediums which require different kinds of story telling and everything that comes with that.
        Ah well, guess we can just see how the next few weeks go.

          Fair point. I also didn’t know the drama writer is the webcomic writer so it puts some things in perspective for me. I understand that she might’ve wanted to change somethings from the webcomic then😊

    This is why I’ve never dared approach the source material (usually a novel) of any Chinese dramas that are an adaptation of some sort

    I was planning on reading the manhwa after the series, which is what I usually do to avoid spoiling the drama. Is that a bad idea? Is the manhwa very different?

    Also, if you picked up the manhwa after watching the first week, that must mean you like the drama, right? Because if so, yay! I like this one a lot based on the first week, and two of the main leads (Rowoon and Jae-wook) are personal favourites, so I’m hoping lots of Beanies will show this one lots and lots of love.

      I was super excited for the drama and was getting impatient for the premiere so I picked it up a week before. Spoilers don’t usually do much for my watching experience but I recommend reading the manhwa after the series. There are slight differences between the manhwa and the drama but I really do like the first week of the drama. I just can’t help but nitpick the slightest difference lol. But the drama is doing a great job, no doubt. 🙂

      I’m loving the whole cast and I don’t think I can choose any better person to play them ^^ I especially love the actress playing our extra extra “heroine”, Eun Dan Oh

I kind of miss the feeling of being in love… Watching people fall in love around me and in dramas makes me a little envious.
I miss the why my heart feels when I\’m in love.

I just came back from that reunion hike with my highschool friends and I was worried for nothing 🙂

It was mostly just the boys in my friend group that came today because the girls were busy but it was so much fun having a large group of people you can have great banter with. ^^ I do wish that the whole group were together though.

We went hiking trail on the highest peak of the city that was also famous for being pretty foggy. I don’t know why but we thought we would be able to the sunset through the fog and waited at the peak for a good 15 minutes until one of us realised haha

#BeMelodramatic manages to make me cry every episode, be it out of laughter or out of pity for the characters or because of dialogues hitting close to home…

I really want JaeHoon out of this relationship not because I want him and HanJoo to get together (although they are really cute), but because I don’t want him to stay in a relationship that is so toxic that it’s ruining him.
He reminds me of a friend I knew of that was in a similar situation. He (my friend) was so suffocated in that toxic relationship he became antisocial and whenever we saw him, he looked broken and tired all the time. Luckily, they managed to break it off but he became more a recluse and we sadly lost contact with him. It breaks my heart seeing JaeHoon stuck in a relationship that he can’t get out of and I hope that when he does get out of it, he comes out of it okay.

I feel so happy today because I got invited to a mini highschool reunion hike next week!
I haven\’t seen some of the people in my class since graduation and whenever there is a reunion, I could never make it and I felt so left out
🙁 But I am really excited to see them again! We were really tight back in highschool but we kinda lost contact because a majority of them moved out of country… I’m both nervous and overjoyed to meet them again. What if I had changed and they don’t like who I am now? Maybe I’m overthinking and shouldn’t be worrying about it ^^”

    Don’t worry. I went to only 2 of them and came back little depressed because everyone is soooo successful and important out of 36 from my class it looks like only one didn’t get her life in order. Everybody hoped for me that I would be a famous artist by now but I’ve fallen in love and life took completely different direction. I have one year to the next one ( each 5 years they organise one) so let’s work to be pretty again and successful!

      We’ll make it there soon enough! I think we don’t have to worry too much on whether or not we are successful because we all have different definitions of success ^^ I’m just scared they wouldn’t like me haha

          I don’t know. I sometimes fear that I regressed and became a horrible person while others progressed since we last saw each other. But then again, maybe it is just an irrational fear and everyone has felt the same way..

    I reconnected with my primary/middle school friends through fb. Our group chat is lit every day since. Best decision ever! Have a great reunion ☺️

      I wish I could do that! I stopped using fb ages ago and I’m not entirely sure of my classmates’ last names (and maybe first names since a majority of them went by nicknames :I ) but at least I keep in touch with my highschool classmates?

Oh and notice how they are both wearing colours associated with the opposite gender: HanJoo = blue (male/masculine/ Prince Charming), JaeHoon = pink (female/feminine/Cinderella) Their story is seemingly like a modern cinderella story with its role reversed. (but puppy needs to break it off with his girlfriend before starting anything romantic because I can’t stand to see my girl HanJoo get hurt again)
