Beanie level: Eunuch in drag

Feels so surreal that this drama has come to an end. It has been a wonderful 9 weeks of heart-fluttering and tears. Thanks for the amazing journey, My Ajusshi. Much love.

Who needs an oppa when you have a hot ajusshi with velvety voice. If I were Ji-An, I would wear sunglasses the whole time so that I could stare at Manager Park right from my cubicle all day.

Am so frustrated that there is still no English subs available for “Lawless Lawyer”. How long more should I wait?????

I watched the first 2 episodes raw, couldn’t wait any longer…

Me too, it’s the Ultimate Oppa’s new drama..though all I did was smile when he was on screen

LOL. My chinese colleague is bragging on how she enjoyed the first 2 episodes since she got to watch the chinese sub version.

I read the review is good and the rating is high, even increasing for second episode. Am so happy for Jun Ki. Finally, a good drama that merited his talent with a promising ratings.

Absolutely spent after watching 2 episodes of My Ajusshi. Lee Sun Kyun blew me away with that subtle, nuanced brilliant performance. And gosh, I love the way he swaggered.

While the Malaysian in me is super nervous over the outcome of GE later today, my mind still occuppied by My Ajusshi. It’s been two weeks of emptiness. Pray for change.

There’s a big chance he already knew of the wiretapping. Guess that’s why he chose to say it out instead of replying her text. Idk what to do with this drama…it’s just so everything 😌.

It’s LEE JUN KI. Super stoked for the weekend. The last bit is hilarious – Jun Ki and his lawless minions.

This seems super intriguing and right up my alley but I feel like with Suits I’ll suffer from lawyer overdose. 😭 When dramaland is dry- it’s barren, when it rains- it’s a flood

    1
    1

Unfortunately, I have dropped Suits. The show is too sleek, too polished for my liking (I still love PHS, though). So, I basically have enough quota for lawyers especially one as a hot as LJK.

      2
      1

I can’t drop suits tho because I loved the original so I don’t know what I’m going to do with my drama schedule. I wonder if lawless lawyer will be recapped at DB? 😭 Someone please invent a time machine.

So cute and adorable especially at 2.35. These two must be so comfortable with each other judging from the way they sat (without gap) and interacted.

I just wanna hug everyone 😭😭 Well, except for that bastard Joon-young. Why are their lives so hard? Why is life so hard?

One week seems so long, ahhh… I can’t wait.

And Jung-Hee’s hair! Must have meant that his over the monk or a resolve in her part to finally start moving on T_T

My heart breaks over the scene of Dong Hoon running. The pain is real.

It seems like he’s chasing after Ji-an but he didn’t catch her, thus the last scene where he’s drinking alone 😰

He is running like there’s no tomorrow. It seems that our mister “safety comes first” finally reaching his breaking point. I was on the verge of tears watching the preview alone.

I love this scene. The slippers only served as a metaphor. And the quiver in his voice at the end, is so telling of how desperate he wanted her stay in his life. I ship them already.

I am not so sure either. I checked on soompi thread and someone mentioned that the title is “There’s a Rainbow” and the band name is “Vincent Blue”.

Finally, a little overview on “Engineer” in k-dramaverse, which is inudated with doctors and lawyers. Thank you, drama 🙏🏻. We engineers have not been much represented.

16
8

Heh. I can’t find her exact quote but comedian Mindy Kaling has said that everyone’s an architect in American romcoms. She said something like, “There are only five architects—and my dad’s one of them.” (There are 100,000 registered architects in the USA, with a high rate of unemployment.)

    1
    1

Wow. Such a big number. I kind of feel that architect is too subjective a profession, much like actors where one is evaluated more based on preference and taste. Maybe, that’s part of the reasons of high unemployment rate. Oth, engineer is more objective -with straight one answer. I really love that Dong Hoon cares to explain the difference between these two professions to Ji An. As they said, architect’s concern is on the aesthatic, engineer’s focus is on the safety while QS looking at monetary value.

      4
      1

engineer’s concentration remains on engineering the things (technical aspects). and i really love how well and easily DH explained the things…

you are an engineer… engineer here too… what’s your stream of engineering ?
i dint notice it before but yes its one if he very first kdrama to drop some light on engineers..

Sorry for my very very late reply. Maybe the notification got lost somewhere. I am a civil engineer but on contractor’s side. How about you? Anyway, glad to meet a fellow engineer here.

      1
      1

thats completely fine… it happens with me too..hehehe..
by degree am n Information Technology engineer.. and working in IT infrastructure support as Team Manager.

if i am not wrong..being civil engineer means you must inspecting the construction work of sites..

        0
        1

Yes. That’s what I am doing though I am not nearly as good as Dong Hoon, I am sure. Plus, he is on maintenance side which mean his works is a lot harder. Constructing new structure is a lot easier than actually tracing the root cause of a problem and trying to fix it.

Anyway, I have seen your name somewhere on soompi’s forum of Live Up To Your Name?

          1
          1

yes yes.. his work is lot more harder and critical but this does not mean yours is any less critical. cause if you wont make a sturdy structure it won’t last long.. so i guess both are two sides of one coin.

yeah i was on Live upto your name page on soompi for sometime while i was watching the show. So visited it to find some more information abt Kim Nam Gil 😍😍😍

Brad Pitt has always been the swoony Brad Pitt. But I just love him here being all funny. I never knew he is so good doing comedy. This scene is pure gold, along with my fave John Malkovich.

Yeah Kim Nam Gil and Jin Ki…its so great to find people loving your oppa…hehehe.

I like Kim Nam Gil since his Bidam days but I kinda forgotten about him due to his lackluster follow up dramas (sorry, not a fan of Shark) and long absence in dramaland. LUTYN revived my interest in him. Jun Ki has always been my favourite.

          1

thats ok you dont like Shark…i loved his acting in it and his deep eyes….
i got into LUTYN after seeing all his sad ending dramas n movies and needed something with Happy ending. and i loved it….

This scene intrigued me to watch this wonderful drama that is “Rescue Me”. I read that the finale is anti-climactic but with 4 episodes to go, I still think this drama deserving all the praises.

I enjoyed it,even with that ending.

I finally made it to the end. Definitely worth it, though this drama is too dark for a re-watch. I could not believe I actually missed out this drama last year. I find the ending acceptable even when I wanted a grander payoff for Father Baek and Jo Won Tae especially. A lot of viewers were charmed by Woo Do Hwan, but surprisingly, I kinda like Tacyeon more. But I love that no redundancy of any character, tight writing and the surprise elements that keep the momentum of this show until the end.

Yey, you made it and it seems like you liked it too. I agree, this isn’t really a re-watch friendly one. This is one of my “out of comfort zone” dramas last year.

        0

I really, really, want to watch this drama for Woo Do-hwan but I just can’t with this kind of genre. I don’t find it scary… just a little bit bothersome because some scenes have a habit of randomly creeping in my mind and annoying the h3ll out of me for thinking about them > . <

    0
    1

I understand. It’s a dark drama and as much as I like it, I won’t consider re-watching. I personally like Woo Do-Hwan more in Mad Dog, though I did not get to complete that drama. I skimmed watched it and only focus on the scenes with Woo Do-Hwan in them.
