God bless Cuba!!! I love all the scenes in Cuba. It’s just so darn beautiful. I can feel the warmth and passion of the country through those scenes.

    I know, right?
Is it silly of me that I really wish they opened that fictional hotel already so I could stay there for a week?
hmmm…. can I stay there for a week?
    [off to look into it]

It’s not silly. I want to stay there as well. And yes they better keep the garden.

Let me know what you found about it. I would assume it’s a private property, and not for sale.

Ayy Caramba, that was it for Emma? Why does it require for a user to be level 5 up to talk to Emma, whan that was all we gonna get from her? Not even a clue to where his brother is? Caloca! 😤😤

Noooooooooo. Now I’m gonna cry.

What, we are 30 minutes in Episode 9, and she hasn’t cried yet. Thats no bueno.

She got to cry this episode. She must, or it will never be the same.

Hmmm you will see sth extra special today.

    2
    1

Oohh, yes and he got to touch them tears!!! That was special.

      3
      2

Also that the tear got a separate shot, its own moment.

        4
        2

That one tear drop on his shoulder shot. So ott.

          2
          0

That special tear was sexy hot after I realized it was a tear. When I first saw it, my instant reaction was “Woah, is it about to rain indoors? Is Dr Cha gonna show up?”

Oooh, maybe her tear is a symbolism of the rain? Maybe it rains, because she keep crying all the time. So the only way it will stop raining is when she stops crying. .. Oooh I’m Soo good

          4
          1

Hahaha. I thought it was game rain too and zombie cha will come out. But..that didnt happen.

Maybe because JW is such at a high level, HJ’s intervention is no longer needed. So theres no opportunity for another teary hug-not-hug situation with zombie cha looking at them.

            0

Was it her tears or did he touch her hair? Haha

        1
        1

There it is. 35 minutes in. Yessss!!!! Is that a record?

    1
    1

I am honestly fed up of seeing HJ’s nose pink this entire drama. I thought Doctors and Pinocchio had upped PSH’s stardom or more like maintained it. Even if I don’t like her acting, this is degrading to her. She has also been saying the same dialogues since forever.

    3
    1

she cry a lot too in those drama you mention, but she had more steel in her bone. like she has her moment where she show her emotion more than tears. did she even have that in MOA?

im officially decided this drama is not for me. the snarky diss on her totally unavoidable crying scene written by female writer who decided that’s what PSH amount to, totally turn me off from this drama. even with Hyun Bin acting cant make watch this.

      2
      2

I haven’t seen both of these dramas but at least in Doctors I suppose she had a prominent role. Her character is supporting at best right now. And yes even though narratively I have no big issues with the script, only if it had been all men. There was no need to add a female lead when the show is pretty male centric. That’s off putting and drags you from the story, which eliminating this, is actually interesting to me.

I am actually having fun with this drama, despite its flaws. Let’s just say, I’m not taking this drama seriously. I’m going with the flow. Whatever they show me, I’ll accept.

Even the crying, I have stopped getting annoyed by it and started having fun with it (or making fun of it).

The part I really do care about is the little sister. I pay attention to that, because Hyun Bin smiles during those scenes.

        2
        1

Haha same with the little sister. Probably the best part in the entire show. I think I should stop bothering about those tears now too because even if slow, I think the narrative is good.

          1
          0

Oh, damn it! That’s it. There’s no thrilling cliffhanger. What kind of shenanigan is that?

So is this the new trend on this series? End each episode with forced romantic longing and such. Hmmm?

Oooh, she crying again.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Alhambra if if she’s not crying.

Will this perhaps beat Go Ara in Hwarang for excessive FL crying? When it finishing we can compare lol

    3
    1

For some reason, I don’t mind the crying so much here, but Go Ara drove me insane with her crying in Hwarang. It might be the actor (although I like Go Ara), or it might be the characters. Heeju was always a wimp from the beginning, whereas Go Ara’s character was badass at first and then just started crying at EVERYTHING, and staring down arrows instead of ducking.

      4
      2

Agreed. I don’t like Hee-joo constantly crying in every eps, but it’s just so her. At least her character is consistent from the beginning (even though I still wish they wrote her differently).

Oh yeah I don’t really mind it either I’m just teasing cos it’s amusing hehehe

The little sister of PSH in Alhambra has a much better character than PSH in the few minutes she’s in this series. Thats just wrong Writer-nim.

11
3

Seriously that was my thoughts too! Itโ€™s not like the writer canโ€™t write a spunky character? Her younger sister was so cool and spunky! Why is PSHโ€™s character such a doormat?

    3
    0

I almost gave up at ep 3 when PSH couldn’t make up her mind and had to call her little sister. Are you referring to this or is there more to come? I never had luck with PSH’s characters and this time, I really wanted to like Hee Joo or at least be neutral. Show, please don’t make it hard.

    1
    1

I’ve had problems with Hee Joo ever since. Episode 5 will show the same thing. But when I saw her little sister on episode 5, I had to wonder why PSH character couldn’t have that personality. Heck, she had a much better chemistry with Hyun Bin’s character than her unni.

Stop crying Park Shin Hye. Why do you always cry??

3
2

I don’t mind when she cries. However, I didn’t understand why she was crying at the end of ep 5. A worried/confused look on her face would have been more appropriate, imo.

    0
    1

Yes, if it’s appropriate. But I don’t find any appropriate reason why her character had to cry in Episode 5. Specially when he fell, first thing that should happen is call someone or 911. Instead, she waited, took her time to look around. She then went up to see Mr Yoo in room. he wasn’t there, so she hurried downstairs. Stop on 3rd floor, cry a little. Stop again on the first floor, cry again when she realized who it is. … Then finally she snapped out of it and called for help. Oohh that’s exhausting.

I blew the writer and director for this. But this is also the reason why they hired Park Shin Hye, because they know this character is her forte.

Darn you, PD-nim, why did you cover Hyun Bin’s abs with medical gauze? That would have been our chanfe. Damn it!

Oh Memories, that’s much better. You’ve got me now.

There are still a few filler scenes, but otherwise, you’ve got me intrigued.

Did Memories really spend 20 minutes in the bathroom? My gosh!

Why is this drama so basic when it’s not in the game?

Get your head in the game, Dang it!!! Don’t make me wait till the end for it.

Yup. I was like ‘just go to the damn game’.

i completly got confused wid timeline in this episode:

it started with arrows n binnie reaching cafe. but then we see him at agreement table alluding the ally war n phone call with a happened before coming to meet shin hye for agreement .. but then emma happened after signing agreement so that means alley war happened when shin hye was in hospital

Did SaltnPaper sang one of the OST for Encounter?

His voice is distinct.

Oh damn, I thought it was a fluke. But after watching episode 3, I’m in love with Encounter/Boyfriend. I like the calmness and quiet demeanor of this drama.

12
1

It’s such an odd yet not so atypical drama. I absolutely love the tone. It strikes a serious yet light and somewhat organic balance. The moments where there’s no OST or BGM playing are some of my favourites. Then the OST/BGM starts up and…sigh…

Gosh dang it!! Get to the action part, Memories of Alhambra. Stop with all the expositions and non-sense conversations. I’m here for the actions and visual effects.

Whenever they try to add comedy, romance, melo stuff, it seems so out of place. Get to the thriller/action part already.

    2
    0

Ugghh, 15 minutes in of Memories of Alhambra, why do you combine thriller, romance, and comedy into one drama. It doesn’t work. If it’s thriller, stay as such. Because it’s hard taking you seriously.

Again, Jung So Min 👏👏👏. What a heart wrenching performance.

And I screamed “YES, YES, YESSSS!” Along with a fist pump, when Kim Moo Young did that. Not just once but three times.
👏👏👏

    I screamed NO! NO! NO!

Okay i totally donโ€™t get which scene you were referring to, but I really liked her acting while she broke down to JG and deny to believe that MY killed SR

    1
    1

Yes, that scene. I wanted to put my hands on mybears, just like Moo Young did. I wanted to escape from it as well. I felt the pain. I felt the heartache. I felt all the emotions of not understanding why he wanted to breakup. She was that good there.

Yess, everything is falling into where I want this show to be. 👏👏👏 No smiles left anymore, Moo Young. JG took them away.
