I decided to binge-watch Mr Sunshine,and it was the worst decision I made.I managed to finish 22 episodes in 3 days,and currently feeling miserable as I am now have to wait for the remaining episodes

    Congrats to u for the drama marathon in 3days 👏👏👏.. now get enough rest for the remaining two episodes (which can be full of suspense), but i think most Beanies have been in the restless states for the past 9-10 days 😂😭

    Binge watching a drama to the point of being caught up and having to wait for new episode can be one of the worst things a beanie can do. Poor Ashes of Love Thankfully, you only have 2 more episodes to go and they’re not too far away.

    Staying alive is a good enough reason but I also would have felt comfortable if she actually had some doubts/give it a second thought.
    In any different drama she would probably be a second lead

      There is a glimpse of doubts and regrets when she talked about Lee Do Ha with Madam Oh (I think that’s her name), but still, I feel very uncomfortable because no matter what her reason is, she is still going to come between the couple. I would have preferred if the writer take a different approach. I don’t know, make Lee Do Ha not in arranged marriage instead? *A girl can wish* Too late, isn’t it?

    I actually feel like it’s more Do Ha pursuing Mika romantically than the other way around. She just wanted to stay next to him so that her clock stopped but it wasn’t until he started to pursue her that she started to change her tune. She always seems really uncomfortable when she is around his fiancée. And his fiancée is really annoying. She’s partly pushing Do Ha toward Mika with trying to flaunt how much better she is and how much money and power she has.

    I am also confused by the marriage. In the beginning wasn’t he turning down her marriage proposals but now all of a sudden they are engaged? It’s weird. And isn’t the musical director also a second lead? They must have cut a lot of his scenes down due to having to recast and film again just a week before airing.

      In the beginning she did asked him to date her. Of course we as a viewer clearly understand the reason behind her action, but for Lee Do Ha, it can be seen as a sign of interest in her part. I do not mind Mika pursuing Lee Do Ha shamelessly, like Gong Hyo Jin in Master Sun. Afterall, he is the only person that can extend her lifeline. If I were in her shoes I would’ve done so too. But for this drama, Lee Do Ha is committed with someone (loveless or not) and that’s a bit problematic for me. How the writer intends to portray Lee Do Ha? A two-timer? And what does that make Mika? An engagement breaker?

      I guess, I would have love this drama more if they make Lee Do Ha a single guy and I would have rooting Mika to seduce him more. Too bad we won’t be getting there.

      I thought she turned him down first. All I can say about the fiancee is, she is a controlling woman. She is so used of getting what she wants in her life, and suddenly another woman appears and manages to make his man’s heart flutter. Obviously she cannot take that well. She has been trying to make Lee Do Ha her own version of romantic guy, but he’s not getting there. Because his heart isn’t in that. He wanted her purely for business, and she wants more. That is why she is doing everything she can to keep her man. So far, she is doing that elegantly. Let see how long she can keep that up.

        Ah I meant wasn’t “she” turning down “his” marriage proposals. I wrote that half asleep when I woke up to take my puppy out.

        In the beginning I didn’t see Mika really pursuing him romantically, just so that she can extend her life. I also don’t think she knew he was engaged, since when she found out she stopped and just wanted to be his driver so that she was close to him all day.

        Wanted to add. I don’t really care that Do Ha is engaged, because it’s s business marriage and not one for love. If it was one for love it would be different. But it not so I just see the fiancée as the one who is trying to make it more and Do Ha just going along with it so far since he needs her company.

          Yes, they are purely for business marriage, but one that Le Do Ha wants to commit. He even proposed to her to make his point, that he is willing to marry her despite his feeling. So him pursuing Mika when he is engaged makes him irresponsible, and Mika being in the center of this mess, is the reason why I am very conflicted with the nature of the relationship of these three people. Unless he breaks the engagement and only then he pursues Mika seriously, I can get behind that.

          I want Mika to find her happiness, and if Lee Do Ha is the guy for her I would love to be able to root for them wholeheartedly. But right now the way the writer makes their relationship so complicated (the guy falls in live with the heroine, the heroine falls in love with they guy, but the guy is going to marry another girl, and another girl wants the guy for whatever reason), I can only hope that this drama doesn’t turns out makjang-ish. Let see where this drama headed ^^

            Agree to disagree!

            I will agreee that Mika should have stayed out of it and told him that he needs to take care of his fiancée before anything. But Do Ha is pretty selfish. He wants to have both. He seems to be a lot like his father. I didn’t like how he decided to pursue Mika like a painting he’s obsessed with. Definitely disrespectful of her feelings.

          I agree with you on Lee Do Ha being selfish. He is sure wanted to have both, and because of him Mika will going to get hurt! Not that Mika is blameless either, but that is another point. I can already smell makjang here 😬

    I got confused when I saw it on some drama sites,as some episodes are under a different title while some are under M&V. And the summary in DF sounds totally different from what Beanies said about it. The recos in WWW post cleared it all up.

    Damn I really want them romantically involved too. But Dong Hoon is too damage already, and the focus on the platonic side make sense. It will be cheapening thr arc and out of his character act. But still, these two already make my heart flutter just to find each other space.

      Because the platonic relationship makes sense, but in my heart I want them to be more, I am now conflicted. After today’s episode I can see where they are heading. I can’t say I like it, but I understand. It is so hard to pick one side only. Hahaha

    i am third in this Heart vs Mind battle (or war). everytime these two appear together (tall wide chest DH and that tiny fragile JA) i just imagine them in one big bear hug (i know am being pervy or not making sense). but these 2 makes me feel that way without even thinking anything else.

    though i agree with what you and @missjb chingu said.. Romantic arc will not make sense or not justify this whole journey of two lonely broken souls finding solace. so i am hoping to have an happy ending for both.. thats all i need.

    By this point, I couldn’t imagine them in a romantic relationship anymore. Dong-hoon’s righteousness isn’t going to allow him to view Ji-an that way. Besides, I love their hard-to-define relationship and it would be great if they continue in that vein till the end of the series.

      I love your perspective. Dong Hoon is really one of a kind, isn’t he. I think I am among those that “want what you can’t have”, which is in my case, Dong Hoon is a good guy, and he sees Ji An like ‘your neighbor’s little sister’, which is why I understand if the story goes as you predicted, but not as I wanted. Hahaha
