It was a bright and sunny Tuesday morning. Not the sort that Errand Boy Incorporated preferred for it’s business, but as it is July, they must make do.

Coco made her way to the abandoned warehouse that was EBI’s main office with some weariness.

She hated working at the office, besides EBI being made up of rather strange people, they were also people. And Coco, despite being a human interest reporter, could only take so much of other people.

She met @wishfultoki at the entrance. Her usually glamorous friend seemed unusually disheveled, wearing a T shirt instead of the company uniform of black or plaid.

Coco knew she had been working nights for weeks on an assignment, and wondered what she was doing at the office.

When asked, Toki merely put a hand to her forehead and groaned. “Not so loud, Coco. I finally got the evidence we needed to put that loan shark in jail only this morning, so I’d just gotten to sleep when called in.”

“Okay okay, I may have celebrated a bit before going to bed, but I had been working on that stupid case for weeks!”

The entrance is suddenly flooded as scooters race up to the door with plaid riders each trying to out maneuver the other to get in.

Toki and Coco are only just following the rush, when a late arrival comes in.

It is the usually immaculate Annoying Secretary, Ma Jo Gu, now with stumbling steps and mussed clothing.

Toki starts when she sees him, but he acts happy to see her, speaking in the country accent Toki hadn’t heard since college.

A couple of the other workers try to help him to sit down, but he doesn’t let them, instead ranting about how hard he has worked to be someone who can’t be looked down on, and who can protect those he loves. “So Hyun-ah, So Hyun-ah, I’m sorry.”

Coco leaves Toki with Secretary Ma, and goes to the kitchen in search of hot water. Her Earl Gray is burning a whole in her pocket, wanting to be steeped.

Secretary Ma’s phone starts ringing, and Toki is forced to answer it after noticing that it is an important member of EBI. “Unni,” they call her, male and female EBs alike, she is a senior lawyer who works as a member of the Rooftop Residents Support Squad (RRSS).

@greenfields talks quickly from the moment the call is answered. “I’m stranded in the middle of nowhere, and I’ve only just been able to get signal. There’s been a big accident,

thankfully no one is injured. But send Errand Boys immediately, there is something fishy about this accident.

Wait, what the heck, what is that idiot doing?” The line goes quiet except for shrieking.

…

…

Far away on this hot July day, a fabulous, slightly sweaty unni locks eyes with a young man with blonde hair and a puppy dog face.

They had both run shrieking to the rescue of an oblivious @neener and managed to swirl her out of the way, only to accidentally wrist grab each other.

As Neener weakly thanked them from the ground where she had landed, GF looked into UB’s eyes, only able to breath out one word, both a question and a prayer. “Ramyun?”

Meanwhile, back at headquarters.

Secretary Ma has fallen asleep,

and Toki has him leaned back in a chair with a cap pulled over his eyes while she goes to get him hangover medicine. @cloggie lazily rides up on her scooter, waving hello to Ma Jo Gu.

Coming inside, Cloggie asks what the meeting is about.

“Suddenly calling in all the EBs, what is Shadow sunbae thinking? Ahjumma would never allow this. I know you always know everything going on here Jo Gu, we’ve worked together for years, you know you can tell me.”

Cloggie huffed at the secretary’s continued silence, only to suddenly cover her nose.

“Omo, is that alcohol?” Secretary Ma fell forwards onto the desk, and Cloggie bent over him to sniffing to confirm that the stench came from him.

Toki comes back to see Cloggie bent over Jo Gu.

She turns pale, then quickly red as Secretary Ma speaks in his sleep, cutely asking Toki to pour him another drink, assuring her that he can hold his alcohol.

All goes quiet when CEO Shadow suddenly appears, with @fatcat007 on his arm. All watch their entrance with wide eyes, this meeting must be serious if he is coming in person.

The Errand Boys all quickly follow,

Cloggie chuckling, Toki cursing as she half carries Secretary Ma

Coco makes it to the kitchen on the second floor, she needs tea more than ever if she is to survive this meeting.

Internally, she groans, there is a stranger in the kitchen. She sidesteps him, but he addresses her familiarly.

At her blank look, he hastens to explain that he introduced himself to her at the food festival, when suddenly the kitchen door flies open.

“Are you lost?” @egads asks, making Coco and the man jump. As Coco shakes her head, she dramatically sighs and clarifies, “Not you Coco, I mean that suited minion next to you. You’re here with the chairwoman, correct? I’m sure you are wanted for the meeting.”

The suited minion runs off, and Egads turns on the thankful Coco.

“Are you a person or a fish? Why don’t you ever talk? You are only going to keep getting run over by people like that if you don’t speak up for yourself.” Like a mother hen the ahjumma clucks, “When I first heard your name I thought you would be annoyingly chatty, but I feel like this not talking is almost worst, it’s such a mismatch to your name Coco.”

As the ahjumma flounces off, Coco mutters defiantly, “but I like Hot Cocoa.”

Coco dejectedly starts towards the meeting as well,

only to have the suited minion pop out from where he was waiting for her.

He asks where she is going, and, after she replies, looks confused. “I thought you were a reporter, not an Errand Boy. And this meeting is specifically for EBs, so why do you have to attend?”

Coco felt like she could have kissed him, as she pirouetted back to the kitchen to enjoy her tea.
