Beanie level: Eunuch in drag

Props to the child actors of Gang Tae, Sang Tae and Moon Young. Those kids nailed their roles! 👏👏👏

    I agree 👌🏻👌🏻

But it’s also they for those who have experienced suffering that they (we) also understand when someone/something good comes around

This whole scene sequence complete with the slow motion (& I hate slowmo moments but this is my exception) and background music is messing with my feelings. 😭😭😭

It was moving. And he got to tell the truth about himself and his relationship with his father.

I started crying in this scene. It just felt so real.

This was such an emotional and raw moment. I am glad that he got to confront his father and express his feelings.

Drama You Can Watch Over & Over Again
I’m not the rewatch kind of person anymore. But I remembered when I was younger, I keep watching My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho over and over. Maybe if I don’t have a long queue of dramas to watch, I will rewatch Chicago Typewriter or Age Of Youth.

Overrated Drama
Love 020
This was a mess. The female lead can’t act to save herself. All characters are one-dimensional. I don’t understand how this was a hit at all. Also, Heirs – but it already won this category based on the Beanie wall.

Underrated Drama
Go Back Couple
I haven’t seen lots of my mutual Kdrama friends watched this but I enjoyed this one and it has really awesome life lessons to learn from. It had a good mix of family story, comedy, time-travel and friendships. Plus, Jang Ki Yong is so dreamy in this.
Honorable Mention:
Police Unit 38

Sorry for the dumb question but how do you guys insert photos in between paragraphs?

Best Kiss
‘Confirmation’ kiss in Reply 1997. I freaking screamed and giggled and squeezed everything I can touch when this scene happened. The internal monologue of Sung-Jae before saying Confirmation. It was a wholesome kiss but it meant a lot more than just a peck. It was a leap of faith for Sung Jae and an entire change of pace for the drama.

Honorable mentions:
Basically, ALL the kisses on these dramas:
– Coffee Prince
– Queen In-hyun’s Man

Favorite Secondary Couple
I think Sunny & Grim Reaper already won this one in the Beanie wall. I liked them more than the main OTP too.

“I pray that in our next life…That the wait will be short and the meeting shall be long…” 💔 💔 💔

Honorable mentions:
– Myeong-Joo x Dae-Young (DOTS)
– Wang Eun x Soon-deok (Scarlet Heart)

Best OTP
This is a hard one. Lots of amazing OTPs out there but I’m choosing the children version of Crown Prince Lee Hwon and Heo Yeon-woo from Moon Embracing the Sun. Played by Yeo Jin Goo and Kim Yoo Jung, respectively. There’s just something about these two child actors’ portrayals that pulled me into watching this drama. They were adorable together and their chemistry was awesome! When they grew up in the drama, it just wasn’t the same anymore. I love Kim Soo Hyun so much but the kid’s version of their love story was the cutest and most adorable part of the show.

Up to this day, I’m still wishing for Jin-Goo and Yoo-Jung reunion project. Drama gods, please hear me out! *pleads*

Honorable Mentions:
When I was listing this, it showed a trend that I liked couples who grew up together and fell in love along the way.
– Trash Oppa and Na-Jung (Reply 1994)
– Dong-Wook and Su-Kyung (Soulmate) They were still endgame, I can feel it!
– Nan-Hee and Hyung-Tae (Two Outs in the Ninth Inning)
– Eun-young and Jae-ha (Spring Waltz)

I just want them leading a drama that is all. It’s about time they play the adult versions. It will come in full circle, really. From babies to kiddies to adults. why haven’t they been casted to any romance show yet???? 😵

I love them too. 😭 When Yeo Jin Gu wept, I cried buckets too. I felt the connection. I was sad that they had to grow up.

Best Female Lead
It’s so hard to choose but I think I’m gonna go for Scarlett for this one. I would’ve chosen Princess Weiyoung but she’s on a different league and it would be unfair to other Kdrama female leads who are also awesome in their own rights.

So, I listed few of the reasons why I love Scarlett.
1. A career woman
2. Doesn’t hesitate to express her opinion but is also open-minded to other people’s ideas
3. Does jiujitsu
4. When she said her dream was to be… “A rich woman who is also a great fighter” STAN HER!
5. Stunning and styles well
6. Won’t hesitate to help a friend to smash a car 😁
7. Addicted to Kdramas (and makjang at that!)
8. A very successful fangirl
9. Has a charming and handsome Puppy 😍

Honorable Mentions
Jeon Seol / Ryu Soo-hyun (Chicago Typewriter)
Mo Seok-hee (Graceful Family)
Cheon Song-Yi (My Love From The Star)
Mi-Ho (My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho)
Jang Hye Sung (I Hear Your Voice)

First Dramas
Taiwan: Meteor Garden It was a phenomenon in our country (Philippines) way back when it aired. I was in 5th grade and we would run back home like crazy after class everyday to catch the latest episode.
Korea: Lovers in Paris This was also shown in our local TV so I was able to watch this. But what I binge watched first was Princess Hours and I loved it! This was my first all-nighter drama ever so this was memorable for me.
China: My Amazing Boyfriend This was a crack drama. The male lead was a plank of wood but Janice Wu was awesome. She became a favorite after this.
Japan: Gokusen I aspired to be as cool as the female lead when I was a kid. I still remember the scene where baseball ball was thrown at her back but she still caught it. I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Lmao
Thai: I Wanna Be A SupTar Push pulled me to watch this one. After this, I was in a Push-related rabbit hole for lakorns.
Philippines: Pangako Sa’yo EchoTin still one of the greatest loveteams ever.

Yasss! Pangako Sayo is a makjang 😂 I also watched Gokusen, Meteor Garden and Lovers in Paris in our local channels. 😁
