I am watching sooo many dramas at this moment but this is the only one which makes me CRY EVERY SINGLE episode despite being Over the top at times….
and this is one such scenes… i can relate to BJS in every bits if his actions, emotional inability to develop relationships and not knowing how to handle conflicts in better way….
i am just like him and all my friends around always say “why are you like this?
why cant you take life leaa seriously?
why you come out harsh at everything?
why cant i talk less harsh while pointing out mistakes?
why can’t i try to be PRETENTIOUS?

and then this moment waa everything i always feel but couldn’t admit ever that “I can’t do everything on my own and i should seek help from people around”
i cried… cried and cried.. feeling for him but at same time happy that he has at least someone as LRD whom he could look upto.

Keep it up BJS ..you can do it…. and hope I can too try letting my guards down and seek help instead of doing all on my own.
*phew.. feeling relaxed now*
*thanks for reading so far*
*feels nice to be back on DB after sooo long*

Aw this episode made me cry too. How does he go from a being a despicable character to pulling my heartstrings ♥️

Baek Jin-sang is tugging at my heartstring this eps. His inability to realize that he needs help and his inability to ask for that help felt so painfully familiar. Thankfully there’s Roo-da who is willing to believe that he can change and willing to.

exactly…. he was such a pityful character here…and i am sure he had some painful past which made him what he is today. And as you said LDR is here to heal his past and help him let go his baggage

ita bit slow and illogical at times but over all a nice warm drama with some beautiful side stories.

i did try 12 night for Photography but it dint keep me hook so put on hold after 3 epi. i might try it again next year.

YES!!! me too!!!! Admitting defeat is the first step. I LOVED that scene. The show keeps on going in ways i can never predict.

very correct… this scene was such a normal one but these 2 lines and tears in his eyes just add to much depth to it…. and am soo looking forward to this drama to see ehat all it can show us.

Just one thing i cant agree… it was not defeat that he accepted.. he wasn’t defeated just cause he couldn’t behave behave certain ways but rather he wants to Improve his lack of social skills and in that he needed her help.

Thats one quality he lacks and he accepted that one thing….
PS thats my own perspective hope its not offensive to you.

Not at all! I agree. He seems like a guy full of pride and for him to admit he needs help is huge. I think he wants to change. yay!

I agree! I thought this show is only wacky and over-the-top but then it made the prickly lead character do this so abruptly (and only 6 episodes in) with the buildup done right. That and Kang Ji-hwan’s interpretation of his character are just amaze-balls. Also, Baek Jin-hee is holding her own in both the zany and emotional scenes.

When he seemed to do a complete personality switch a few episodes in I was a little concerned that he’d changed too fast. But thank goodness he didn’t change – or more importantly can’t change at this point. His self-awareness is so weak that it is going to take some work for him to come around and be kind to others AND himself.
So far I like this show very much!!!
Baek Jin-hee is delightful! Now I think I’ll watch her in pretty much everything.

I’m enjoying this show more with each episode. He is so strong and has such good intentions but without the needed social skills. It will be good to how he learns to ask for help.
and asking for help is hard to do. I know what you mean @KdramaSwimmer -so many times it is easier to muddle through on our own than asking for help – because for me (at least) it makes me feel weaker and more vulnerable and open to being hurt.
Hang in there – it’s all in a day’s work of becoming a full human being!

you said it true… he has every other quality of being a perfect person but not the social skills or in my terms ways to put things in mellow ways… and this seeking help is one big step towards that big aim to be better human being and a perfectionist.

agree too on that seeking help part… it makes me feel weak, vulnerable and open to hurt (what if someone says no which i got lot many times as compared to yes, what if they insult me etc). i was way bad during my intial days in office but now after soooo many years i am better (still long way to go).
and thats exactly why this scene resonated with me so much as i recalled my very first moement of going out and asking a colleague for help… and results was not bad at all rather i was appreciated and got help…

and i am sooo Happy we are so many here watching n enjoying this show…. hope to see some great character development for BJS to cheer for him

I like the term ‘practice’ for what we do in life. You hear about people in the practice of law or medicine – which kind of sums it up.
Every day gives a chance to practice and hone our skills at what it takes to be a decent, kind and loving human being. practice makes perfect, right? And every day is a new chance for more practice.
