Beanie level: Water maid

Sigh. Bidding goodbye to cute slice-of-life dramas is so hard. All threads neatly tied up – with a sweet, believable ending : you did well, Show.

Kyung Seok has quite the same vibe as The Princess Bride’s stableboy. :p

Do Kyung Seok looks exactly like an animated boy when he smiles. 😂

I can see Cha Eun Woo with that smile! 😂

      1

I find him adorable, but really – I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else whose eyes close almost completely when they smile, like an anime character! 😂
Wait, is this why he’s so solemn most of the time? 😮

        2

That smiling KS is CEW in real life. Haha. CEW smiles a lot making his eyes small. Maybe because he’s an idol. And really have to agree with you, he really looked like an anime character in flesh! 😍

          Exhibit A: Kim Go-Eun.
          Exhibit B: Yoo Seung Ho.

These two are adorbs when they smile. But yeah, this guy is too.

Thirty But Seventeen spoiler-guess about the bill-payer ,-

The driver of the truck with tires, which actually led to the accident. If Seo Ri was the only survivor, his guilt may have led to him paying her bills all these years. :/ Watched the first episode after so long – the accident really was such a horrifying tragedy – I feel bad for No Su Mi. 🙁

They should give us two MORE episodes of Thirty But Seventeen now, to make up for the ones delayed because of Asian Games. I held my breath throughout ep. 14 – can\’t keep holding it till next week!

I’ve been teary-eyed through this whole episode, first out of joy for Chan, then for her sorrow. The plot finally moves!

I’m always glad when characters in dramas practice safe crying.(She parks.) :p #randomobservations #still17

Bromance 2.0. :p

I knew I loved Woo Seo Ri’s character way before this episode, but this is definitely my favourite scene so far. Such a simple and powerful confession, and that matter-of-fact “Me too”! So precious.

Chan’s heartbreak begins, and so does mine for his sake. No matter how inured I think I’ve become to The Second Lead Syndrome, no matter how adorable the main couple, who can resist a puppy like this!

Chan was a main character for me in the beginning, now he’s support. I’ve surprisingly gone from rooting for Chan to rooting for Mr. Gong.

I’ve been rooting for Mr Gong all along because I liked his chemistry with Seo Ri – but I felt so bad for Chan in this episode, he’s acted so very well!

Jealous, petty Joon Soo in The Undateables makes up for all the other sad, martyred specimens of his tribe(second leads) in dramaland. 😂

I haven\’t been paying attention to the kidnapping details in WWWSK – just been mildly intrigued by the whole confusion between who was kidnapped among the brothers. But OMG, did that lady kidnap them-

..and commit suicide?? Seems so from that ending of ep. 10. Were those two kids shut up in a house for four days with the dead woman? 😖😖😖 That explains YJ’s trauma, and is going to give me nightmares tonight.

I was really shocked at first as well and was wondering why YJ were so insistent on keeping the memories from MS but that was really fucked up.

Sigh, ep. 10 of WWWSK was like going back to BTIOFL, not only because of the cameo – but in the way that, each week, it used to serendipitously show me EXACTLY what I needed to see. <3

Had to re-watch this bit for these two adorable kids – she’s so cute and petulant, he’s so grown-up (almost-resigned to marriage!) and sweet – I wish there were more scenes with them.

If I’m right about the kidnapped kid being YJ (and I’m pretty sure I am), it cracks me up how similar he was as a kid to how he is now. The self-assuredness and know-it-all tendency was all there!

    8
    1

Yeah I think YJ’s the kidnapped kid too – and find him so adorable when he was younger!(somehow the narcissism/obnoxiousness isn’t as apparent in the kid YJ, though to be honest, even adult YJ seems self-confident – not arrogant – in recent episodes)

These kids are the most adorable. I don’t think I’ve ever seen them before!

*happy sigh* The main couple in WWWSK is definitely going on my list of favorite drama couples. Solid chemistry, a strong foundation for a romantic relationship, and such open communication! <3

Must. Pause. And. Screencap. Moment. #2. 😂😂😂

Late to the viewing party, and can’t wait to see what happens between MS and YJ – but had to pause and screencap this moment – the background heroic music is so hilarious!

Keeping aside emotion and the progression of the plot, AYHT hits unexpected depths through questions like this – for isn’t this the root of the ethics-in-AI debate, going on around us now?

WWWSK could rise to the level of a classic if they delved more into Secretary Kim finding herself, and flashbacks to their 9 years together. No one cares about this kidnapping case,The Powers That Be!

*whispers* I care more than I thought I would.

I would like to see Secretary Kim finding herself and flashbacks to their nine years together too though.

Haha, sorryy – I was just venting, because I start having questions about other parts of their story, so it’s frustrating when the show shines light on a totally different angle. 😅 I take it back – I hope the Drama Gods give each of us what we want!😉

I’m cautiously optimistic that they’ll clear it up by the mid-point of the show, because they didn’t draw out Mi-so finding out who the oppa was for that long.

But I do feel we’re seeing more of Young-joon’s growth than Mi-so finding herself, so I hope the focus shifts to Mi-so more too. So far I’m enjoying seeing them take little steps towards each other, but I’m wondering why their “some” stage didn’t happen earlier. What happened during those 9 years??

That Ep5 ending in WWWSK seems to be one of PD Park Joon-hwa’s signature goofy moments. Remember this WTF scene from BTLIOF?😂

When I saw your name pop up on the wall it immediately brought me back to the BTLIOF live-watching days! I don’t know if any live-watching experience will surpass that any time soon for me. It was so much fun being so giddy with so many Beanies about a show I so loved.

        1

Oh it was the same for me, when I saw your reply! Sadly I haven’t had time in the last few months to watch dramas/discuss them here, and I’ve missed Beanieland so much!😍 I started watching WWWSK, Are You Human Too? and About Time recently, and realised how much I missed fangirling over a show..but I don’t know if the plots or writing will be strong enough to withstand our micro-analysis – that might have been the magic of BTLIOF alone. Fingers crossed, anyway!

Yes! I’m also watching AYHT and WWWSK, but they’re not really hitting me on an emotional level yet. Here’s hoping that will happen soon! In the meantime, I just watched ep 1 of Life on Mars and REALLY liked it! 💖

Now I wanna rewatch Ep. 5 of BTIOFL (with Ep. 6, oh maybe just everything until Ep. 12).

@mindy : Ooh, I’m going to check that out! About Time is beginning to pale, doesn’t help that I don’t have recaps on DB to fall back upon 😅

@wishfultoki : Haha, I know that feeling all too well! And those were the best episodes, really – that first kiss that Se Hee initiates still gives me the thrills! 😍
