Moment at 18, ep 7 & 8:

Damn… I didn’t think it was going to be possible but I’m starting to feel some compassion for Hwi Young… He’s a total spoiled rotten jerk but also clearly a frustrated bi-product of his parents’ abusive authoritatian upbringing. He sees the wrong they do and seems so helpless, all while being complicit whenever it suits him.

Poor Sang Hoon…

Pil Sang, a 3rd generation chaebol 😂😂😂

About our fav puppy almost-couple, Joon Woo and Soo Bin… 😭😭😭. A whole episode (8) and it felt like the Writers cheated me. I mean, I got so hyped for their movie date, all for it to be the LAST scene?? And Ep 9 preview 😫😫😫😫😫!!
Whaaaaaaaat??
I feel cheated… I wasn’t expecting smooth-sailing rise for them but… 😩😣

My Mon-Tues sunshine of a show just took a spin for the “why?” 😑😑

I still have no compassion. He feels terrible, so he makes others feel terrible even though he knows what it’s like to be the victim. In real life, I’d have some compassion for him, but as a tv character I despise him.

Agree it was really bummer last scene. But I think we are in for Soo bins growth, as she find her confidence and belive herself. I see her not really 100% belive he likes her. witch mirror her lack of self esteem. She need to find that in herself for her really belive in Joon woo. at least this is how I see it. We have seen Joon woo growth so far and how far he have come 😀 So feel last half of the drama gonna be soo bins arc. Beside I feel like we gonna go back into Joon woo and whi young conflict from the start of the drama, as Soo bin find out what really happened between them.

I agree with you in that it’s great to see Soo Bin’s growth as a young woman, but… The preview of ep9 made me soooo mad!! What’s worse is that, after getting “tricked” by the Writer’s editing (where they put the scene we were all looking forward to from the previews, at the veeeeery end!!), I am now very wary of how I set up my expectations. My eagerness has been slapped and me no happy. 🙁

this is why I do not like to watch preview as you get an expectation on how thing gonna go and like you say they can be misleading. I always take them with a grand of salt.

Just hope they all gonna come out in a better place after all the growing pain 🙂

He is bothered by what his parents are doing but he uses it as he pleases.
I so badly want his redemption arc to start.
I saw that one moment when the home room teacher applied medicine and ask him if was ok. How much that affected him. No one ever asked him that. They all assumed he was great and doing well. Or did not care to ask him.

My heart broke for Sang Hoon. All he wanted was to fight fair and square.
I can’t believe We won’t see him again. Arghhh.

SooBin and Woo: it’s not going very well is it. I understand it’s going to take time. Because he is new and she hasn’t liked anyone before. It’s awkward. She lacks confidence. But if Hwi Yoong is going to manipulate her I would be darn pissed

re: Hwi Young & Teacher applying medicine –> I saw that too! He really did seem very affected by that simple question. and it was also at that moment that I realized that Teacher is indeed a compassionate adult, not putting himself on the same fighting level as a spoiled rich kid. Teacher wants everyone to get along. (Contrary to me, who wants vengeance! lol)

Soo Bin & Joon Woo: should I just wait until ep10, in the hopes that all unnecessary misunderstandings get resolved…? or is this wishful thinking…?

Oh! did anyone feel some foreshadowing when Soo Bin’s friend was reading the tarot cards?!?

I really like the teacher. He is not perfect, but he constantly reminds himself that he is an adult and has to treat all students with the same kindness they deserve.
He stands up to Hwi Young when he does wrong, but he also sees him as a struggling 18 year old.
Same with Joon Woo- he sees him hide and wants to bring him to the world so he can shine.
I want him to have some interactions with Pil Sang too. That kid deserves some attention too.

SB and JW – I dont think anything will get resolved soon. There is a lot of growing up to do and am sure next 2/3 episodes will be a hard watch. I really want to see both of them understand their full potential and come out of this confidently.

Ha ha yes. Those cards did seem to foreshadow something.

Re. Sang Hoon, I think part of the reason that he pesters and taunts Hwiyoung so much is because HY’s parents are doing the same to his dad. If I were HY’s parents, I’m not sure I’d like to see my child come in first while I remove his competition. Soobin’s mom looks normal next to HY’s.

Re. SB and JW, ugh, first love. Sweet but littered with so much confusion. It’s a bummer that HY is about to play unfair.
