TEA LOVERS
It’s cold and rainy and I’m in the mood for some hot tea but I don’t know much about tea except for Costco’s green tea. Sometimes it gives me a headache and I think it’s the amount of caffeine it has.
If any of you have any fave tea that you’d like to recommend I’d really appreciate it. I’d also love it if it has nice floral aroma.
🙇.

It looks like today is a day for ordering tea. I have chamomile and lemongrass on my list.

If you’re sensitive to caffeine but still want your tea, herbal teas is a good alternative. Lots of herbal teas are also floral. Stay away from the darker teas like black teas and maybe even the green teas

      Thank you :).

I bought a bag of expensive tea last week thinking that expensive teas would be the best lol. I tried one bag and didn’t like it so I’ve learned to ask first.

      * I didn’t know that typing a name of tea gives me -1 wth DB?

I find that DB has the weirdest “rules” about flagging words and posts 🤨🤨🤔🤔🤔

Yea, and apparently you can’t post in another language unless it’s Copy & Paste… I tried posting something in Chinese for “Go Go Squid” before and it took me forever to figure out that trick

While on a medical treatment , my doctor asked me to limit myself to a cup of caffeine per day. And that included green tea. I’d suggest to cut down on the amount or to make it less strong.

As for other tea, I do drink lemon verbena, sometimes chamomile, (roasted) barley, corn silk tea, or just some honey+lemon. I don’t like Tumeric tea .

I probably need 1 cup of green tea twice a week. I drank only a cup per day and still have headaches.

Kiara, another option for you is decaf tea. I drink Earl Grey, which I think is flower-y, Decaf and it tastes the same to me as regular tea. Any brand should be fine.

I like Earl Grey but I find it a bit strong. I’m a fan of English Breakfast and Ceylon. (I used to order loose leaves and had fun mixing them and brewing my own tea).

Is the Earl Grey milk tea any good?

Tea was not the thing in my tropical culture and my family were not into it either. I just started drinking it when I moved to a colder climate.

If you like milk with tea, then yes. I also like to buy a variety with lavender added.

Lavender? I love the aroma but I’ve never had it in my tea. I did try rose tea and didn’t like it.

Lady Grey is also nice. It’s like Earl Grey but softer and with orange.

If you don’t find a favorite, you might try rooibos tea also. Plain, with honey or vanilla, or even chai (especially good on a very cold and wet day).

I’m going to try both for the first time :).

If you have access to a Korean market, there are a lot of non caffeinated options. Barley tea is my favorite, corn husk tea or corn tea is great as well. There’s also one called 둥글레 and in English it’s called Solomon’s Seal Tea. All three teas are slightly sweet without any sugar added and are a bit nutty in flavor.

There’s also citron tea that’s more of a citron jam that you put in hot water and make a sweet tea with. It’s citrusy and sweet and you can eat the rinds. I would pretend I was drinking the tangerine tea that was made in Coffee Friends when I drink this drink 😉

I am close to a Korean market but most of their tea is only in Korean so thank you for the Korean name.
        Citrus flavor <3.

    Jasmine tea and Rooibos tea!
I love it with honey, but that’s just optional. You can drink it plain too.
You can also make a jasmine latte by adding milk!

Now I remember having Jasmine tea before at Peet’s coffee and liking the smell and taste. I’ve never heard of Rooibos tea before but I’m going to try it :).
