Feel Good to Die, ep 15
Yep, good job, Mr. Baek. So glad I didn’t drop this drama. <3

I was considering dropping it after ep 24, one of the reasons is the fact everyone including BJS blames him for some accident that happened to a woman he was rude while working for him. Did they explain that?

That part is an unfortunate hump in the drama & I also hated the fact that they blamed BJS for everything. 😤 They kinda explained that the female employee was too distressed to go on living, hence she didn’t attempt to escape. But meh, that was just lame (not sure if manhwa storyline was the same). I allowed myself to have selective amnesia for this part lol.

He told her to end her life and that she was weak for leaving the job.

      Words are impactful.

It was an expression, he didn’t really mean for her to do anything. Blame him for being a jerk, a rude, stupid boss, but not for some woman getting in a accident a long time AFTER that when she was working for another company. If her family blamed him I could understand, but everyone? It’s crazy. If I had acted on every mean thing that has ever been told to me. I’m not saying the one who said it was right but it’s expected, especially from adults, to have a decent amount of self-respect and self value.

Feel Good to Die, ep 15
Mr. Baek has matured by leaps and bounds, this is such a refreshing monologue coming from the male lead.

Omg I hated his guts and dropped the drama. I should pick it up. I love it when butts actually get character development.

Feel Good to Die, ep 12

Kang Ji-hwan’s crying scenes just wallop you from behind and call for the onion cutting ninjas in a matter of seconds.

How I hate Gong Myung\’s character in Feel Good to Die. His motivations, his trajectory at this point, bleh.

I like him. He isn’t that boring knight, perfect guy, the second lead so common in kdramas. He is not horrible either, he’s just a normal guy, a bit self involved but not really selfish.

he’s pissing me off, I’m rolling my eyes way too often because of him *sigh*
can’t he just go ? don’t chaebol heir need to go to the US ? or improve his behavior at least

6 episodes in and I am drawn to his character trajectory more and more.
I hope this keeps up.

Ddeokbokki: the first dish K-drama made me drool at, and the first Korean dish I’ve learned how to make. 😂

Hiiya guys, I\’m still stuck at being a chaebol\’s poor doppelganger but it\’s great to be back! Real life got in the way (as it always likes to do!). I miss DB and the Beanies!

Eps 7-8 of TGS: Yep, Soo-ji is toxic. But so is Shi-hyun in that he even agreed on the ridiculous bet in the first place. Tae-hee\’s life isn\’t perfect either, but she\’s holding on just fine.

Ep 5 of The Great Seducer: It\’s still Shi-hyun and Soo-ji for me. They made Soo-ji multi-layered it\’s not hard to root for her redemption. Plus, her bond with Shi-hyun has been on since forever. 😱

Also, am I a Joy bias if I say I still like her despite being obviously green? She\’s not cringe-worthy, that\’s for sure. But I\’m liking how her character is written, so far. Independent, intelligent

She carries her character quite naturally, both visually and verbally. I actually feel the actor playing Kyungjoo (her friend) is more visibly awkward.

As long as the characters are strongly written, like in The Liar and His Lover or Solomon’s Perjury, green acting usually isn’t a big problem. I just hope Taehee doesn’t swing fully towards the “cute girl in love for the first time” character type because that’d be a waste of the nuances of her character.

Hear, hear! I loved her in TLAHL and indeed, it was mostly due to how her character was written. I don’t get the hate she has been receiving (outside DB) both then and now. 😱

Gosh, I totally remember the complete mess that was the TLAHL casting post comment section 😧 Somehow it’s a girl idol thing. I don’t ever see guy idol actors draw this much hate.

I know SM pulls strings regularly, but Joy is honestly a good match for the roles she has been cast in, and puts in effort to a commendable outcome.

Considering how little experience she has compared to her costars, I actually think she’s doing a fine job. This is only her second drama.

I don’t think that means you are bias, I find no problem in the 1st 4 ep either,

the one that I have the problem for some reason is the adult, si hyeon dad and soo ji mum is super awkward [not as the character] but as acting.

Joy holds her character well and the character also written well, ofc she isn’t as striking shocking as soo ji but that doesn’t mean tae hee is a bad character.

Breaking my DB comment slump, yey! I miss you all! I just got back from my very own real life drama. Yes, it went on the verge of makjang territory, but I survived! Roll credits 😂

I heard that the guys from Smart Prison Living are having a special church service for non-prisoners so we can join in the cathartic yelling session. post #BTLIOF rants

In a similar vein to Ji-ho’s “Why am I not happy that he will propose”?

Why am I not happy about this kind of reunion? Why? The slo-mo didn’t even change my feelings for it.

Writer-nim opened her Room 19 to us, but it seems to be laden with threads too tangled up for me to handle. For the first 14 episodes, I’ve always enjoyed reading Ji-ho’s introspection and book quote narratives. But Ji-ho lost me at 15 and 16. We all cheered for her when that cliffhanger at episode 6 (β€œNo, I don’t have a boyfriend.”) turned out to be different from what we thought was her being petty. But then she went playing mind games with Se-hee big time at the penultimate episode? Really?

I usually hate spoilers, but here I am, refreshing the Beanies wall for any trickle of BTLIOF screenshots, livestreaming comments, and GIFs. Yes, I am hopeless. 😅 Now off to reading and liking posts!

Hong-do: You can just comfortably call me Noona
Seung-woo: That isn’t good. I’ll think about it.
Hong-do: Or, it’s fine to call me Do Hee-sshi

Gah, can we have a spinoff of this noona romance?
