Beanie level: Errand boy

So I managed to find a copy of Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation. I’m pretty excited.

The Untamed rewatch, ep 31. The Wen siblings going instead of WWX. Yep, still hurts. Feels, all over.

Pegasus Market. The show manage to surprise me every week. What a great ep this week.

3MAD:MV. I love that the ladies were like, sit down and eat and Park Seo joon was all, ‘You sure you don’t want me to help you clean?’. They are all just too cute by half on this show.

The Untamed re watch, ep 28. Wow, JC is a punk. Dude, you are a clan leader and you can just get dragged around like that by others. Yeah, this is why WWX is still better than you. Fix this.

Graceful Family finale. Kudos to Lee Kyu Han for playing Wan soo like a greek tragedy because Wan soo was complicated, hated, loved, wanted to be loved, and most of all, sad. He was just fantastic.

    Totally! Fantastic performance!

I’m going to miss watching this show each week.
His performance was great, I wish things could have turned out differently for him.

I wished to see him and aunt Suk Hee to kick butts and be an awesome duo. Sadly, he chose to leave as a tragic figure. Isn’t it fitted for an artist?

    1
    0

Yes I agree, he kind of stole the last two episodes. The writers kind of forgot who its leads were supposed to be and the whole thing ended up being much sadder than I expected. I wish they’d put as much effort into his brother because that character made no sense to me from beginning to end.

Didn’t the finale feel like we were watching a completely different show. The final dinner scene broke my heart because I felt Wan soo should have been there. That how much presence he had. So good. So good.

Weirdly, parts of the last episode felt like I was in a better drama. It had actual themes it was trying to explore. I’m so used to dramas losing their themes in the final two, I wasn’t expecting this one to find some.

But then when she had that dinner party, I realised she hadn’t beaten her family – she’d annihilated them. I’m not sure how I feel about that.

“Weirdly, parts of the last episode felt like I was in a better drama.”

ME TOO !!! Great Minds you and I.

I think the whole point in the end was tragedy and no place for redemption for the ‘baddies’.

          0
          1

And yet we’re supposed to see both Han and Wansoo as gaining some sort of redemption through their confessions?

Either way, I wanted the whole thing to feel more victorious for our leads. It doesn’t help that they did the cliched separation trope at the end for literally no reason. That did not help matters.

Extraordinary You. The many emotions of Haru…..HAHAHAHAHAHA !!!!! Rowoon was fantastic in these episodes. Kid has a knack for physical comedy.

Extraordinary You. How was Do-hwa a member of A3. He was too well adjusted and social compared to the others.

Camilla. I think it is time to put Jessica on the list as the possible victim. It would not surprise me at all if JR use that same play with the prize machine and got her a bracelet.

    I like your thinking!

Her name is Park Sang-Mi. And the dead person is some Choi. So it is not Jessica.
My guesses is Hwang Mi since everything about her seems fake. I guess her real name is Choi Go Eun?

Unless the ID card and the body aren’t a matched set. We all might want to be cautious – the show’s been throwing red herrings at us for a while.

Camilla. Yong-shik and his mom just give me all the feels. Kang Ha Neul and Ko Du Shim need to have way more scenes together.

Camillia. Now I know why I have such a strong dislike of Jong-ryeol, his patriarchal bullshit. If only he spent more time in Seoul with his infant daughter instead of expecting his mother and a female nanny to take care of her. It is one thing to want to be involved in your kids like once you find out about them, but whatever the hell he is doing now is not it. I bet dollars to donuts if Pil gu was a 8 year old girl he would be ghost.

He pisses me off so much!!! 🤬🤬 I disagree with Dong-Baek when she tells him to leave their son alone. He has as much right to their son, especially since she had the kid without his knowledge. I figured it was understandable for him to go a little crazy, given his actual marriage is a shitshow and he just found out about his son but it’s been episodes since. He hasn’t wisened up to realize that his kid should be his priority here. It should be about him being a part of his kid’s life not belittling Dong-Baek at every opportunity he gets.
I hate how he pities her so much. He acts like her life is way below standard and he has come to uplift her from the shambles that is her life. He berated her in front their son!!! He seems to have no regards to the feelings of his son or the repercussions of his actions.
He has a family and a life in Seoul. It’s a dysfunctional and unhappy one, yes, but a family that comes with responsibilities. If he’s not taking care of the baby and the young mother is also negligent- who the fuck cares for the daughter? He needs to sort out his relationship status first. To sort out his life first so he can begin to add Pil-gu into the mix. A scandal breaks out, it’s DB and PG that are bound to take the brunt of it.
His focus is not on the child but on running away from the mess that his life is in the city to seek solace in a love that used to be. His wife clearly doesn’t love him and need him. So, DB, seems like the pitiable woman (who already has his kid) that can need him. He’s just going about it the wrong way. Trying to force his way into everything. We don’t have all the details but I think DB was wrong in not letting him be a part of PG’s life. But it can be rectified. Only if he stops belittling her and her way of bringing up their son. What an asshole!
I am so pissed off at him that I went into full rant mode.

    8
    3

I feel the same way. DB doesn’t have the right to tell him to stay away from his child. They need to sit down and figure out what’s best for the kid.
He somehow thinks DB and PG are a package. Like if he is the father she has to come to him and listen to him. She can’t have a choice by going to another man. He thinks she has to sacrifice her love for her child. He thinks he knows better. He thinks she is doing a shoddy job of bringing up HIS child. He is self centered and can never be in an equal relationship.
I feel for Pil gu. His teenage angst is going to be strong.
I see why DB is rejecting him and keep him away from PG, but that’s not fair to PG. she needs to put aside her bias against JR and think about what would be best for PG.

      7
      1

Exactly! That’s what he and Dongbaek need to understand. It is possible for him to be in his son’s live without them being together. They need to sit down and have that discussion. JR can make a good father but he’s a shitty significant other. I hate how he’s always trying to use her being a mother against her. Like, being a mother is a life sentence and she has to sacrifice her happiness. He doesn’t listen to what she’s saying. He doesn’t care to understand her point of view – it’s always ‘how did you raise the child like that?’ 😤😤
Then again, considering the Korean society (based on dramas), I think having that kind of relationship is very unusual. Even when I watch Hello Counselor and there’s someone who’s divorced or with divorced parents, it seems like with the divorce and remarriage of the one parent, they cut off communication and any form of close relationships with the kids. I don’t get why. 🤔
I feel for Pil Gu too. He’s too grown up already. I want Dongbaek to pay more attention to him so she can notice just how he’s suffering. He has no business thinking the way he thinks. He’s already started his teenage angst.

        1
        1

But I just cannot with JR being a absolute asshole in from of him about his mom. He all but call her a tramp for having the audacity to date someone and be happy.

          1
          3

And what pisses me off more is that he doesn’t even realize what a major douche he’s being.

            1
            0

@esther I think he realizes it and does not care. He thinks it is her fault that he is like that. HE was the one that was hurt when she finally had enough and left (and yes, I totally believe that he was cheating on her). HE was upset that she was not satisfied with the horrific way his mother treated her and his answer was to stay more in the shadows and be invisible to please him. HE was upset that he did not have a gf to no longer cater and mother him. HE was the one that sure as hell did not have a problem moving on and enjoying the perks of fame. HE is all about HIM and for some reason that is DB’s fault. I will never give this dude a pass. Sure, he should have known about Pil gu, but enough is enough with the excuse making for his behavior. This is not something that just occurred and a life changing incident changed his attitude, he was always a asshole. He doesn’t miss DB, he misses what she use to do for him. Jessica is not filling that role and he thinks that a dormant DB is better than nothing. That is why he is pissed, in her own way, she has grown.

            3
            0

I agree. I did notice a pattern of selfishness. It’s so obvious in the way he wants her to drop everything for him.

            2
            0

Agreed, but on the other side, if he wasn’t such a moron people would have one less reason to pity DongBaek.

      1
      1

He or she? Do you mean, if DB wasn’t a moron or JR? Either way, I agree. DB can be frustrating. I agree that not everyone is confrontational (I am not) but I just hate the way she sits and takes everything. She’s only ever confrontational to YS and her mum. But with the latest episodes, there was a slight change.
She can’t suddenly change at a go. Considering her background, it makes a lot of sense she turned out somewhat spineless. But as spineless as she can be, it’s not easy be a single mother in such a disapproving society. You need some backbone for that! I guess being a pushover is her own way of defending herself. She’s been told she’s pitiable all her life – she probably figured, ‘let me them pity me, do what they want and move on so I can move on too!’

        1
        1

He. I was talking about JR. Yes, DB can be all those things but I only consider her non confrontational around women.

          1
          0

I agree. I absolutely think he has the right to be a part of PG’s life but he also needs to remember that he’s a married man with a baby and also a public figure who risks dragging DB and PG into a scandal with his actions. Stop trying to get back together with DB. Sort things out at home. Then stop belittling DB and figure out how he’s going to be a part of PG’s life.

The Untamed, ep 26. Even on the re watch the scene with WWX, Qing and Ning does not get any easier. Just so raw.

4
4

    Nope, it doesn’t.

I thought I’ll just breeze through my rewatch. Given that I have zero record of rewatching any drama in full(not even my top fav NIF!), I am appalled by how invested I am even in a rewatch.

What happened to those clan members amounted to genocide and WWX will always have to heart for doing the right thing.

Then in the next episode WWX and LZ’s ‘farewell’, tears. I have tears. Again.

Ugghhhh, this show is so good and I am picking up things I did not see the 1st time around.

      5
      2

I’m definitely picking up things which I missed the first time or wasn’t apparent since I did not have the full context. I am now at the part where they are back to the present and LZ is killing me with how devoted and tender he is towards WWX.

The wiping out of the Wen Clan members – none of the so called righteous people stood for the innocent except for Mian Mian who outdid even LWJ in that confrontation before the leaders.

It’s so scary what people will let slide based on their unfounded fears. How are you killing people just in case they turn out evil and nobody says a word.

It’s scary to think that’s what happens in our world too.

Beanies, *sigh* this should have clicked with me sooner. I have been itching my brain about the leads in the comics and why I feeling some kind of way about them.
Freaking Temptation of Wolves. Hell, even Kim Young dae, who plays Nam-joo, looks like a younger version of Gang Dong won.
It always comes full in the world of Korean entertainment.

Camellia, ep 17. *sigh* DB, 2 steps forward and 20 steps back. Stop complementing YS only to say something to shatter it and have him run away. STAP !!!!
