I read a story years ago about college tutors and they money they made because parents wanted their kids to get into Ivy’s.
One tutor said he made so much money for ‘extras’ (like writing the college essay for the student) that he was able to put the down payment on his brownstone in New York.
But…it is all the naught because the failure rate within the first year is something like 95%. But these parents never learn.
