    Kwak Dong Yeon had one of the most glorious manes of glory ever. The kid is half my age. I should not find him hot.

      Whoever styled his hair for that show was a GENIUS. But he also just has the facial features that look great with a mane of glory. He’s younger than me, too, although not half my age, but I’m still like, DA-YUM.

    If you’ve watched the PressCon, when asked about the Bromance, L & YSH gave a very vague answer, almost unrelated to the question. Yeah, so that’s how careful they are. 😂

      UGH no! I know for sure that L will come to covet the throne so I’m coming to terms with that. But I don’t know whether they’ll have him martyr himself (like Love in the Moonlight, or Moon that Embraces the Sun) in typical sageuk style to give us a happy ending. They are all such cinnamon rolls; they all deserve happy endings dammit! 😭😭Well, except Yoon So Hee’s character but who knows, she’s got 16 more episodes to make something out of herself.

        I hope the writer doesn’t go LITM and METS to our male second lead. No complains with the LITM and METS but I think we’ve seen enough and everyone will agree that we need something new.
        I’m starting to open up with HG and If Yoon So Hee will do it right in the next 16 eps, I think I’ll embrace her character more. She’s not that evil anyway.

        No, his fans won’t just downvote me…which I don’t care…they will hang me because, it’s not that I find him flavorless, I think he resemble a duck and every time I see his face on the screen, I hear a duck quack in my head. It’s really disturbing!

      I have to disagree also. He won me over long ago with his gruff, yet charming character in Shut Up Flower Boy Band. He’s been a bit hit or miss since, but Perfect Wife saw a performance from him that was anything but boring 🙂

        Started SUFBB but never got through it – was distracted by other dramas. I don’t remember his character or his portrayal being revolutionary in that either, though. Will have to save some time to look into Perfect Wife. Thanks for the suggestion!

          I wouldn’t call his portrayal revolutionary or anything. It was his first leading role, but I actually thought he did great with small things like his character’s mannerisms and way of speaking etc.

          His character is pretty memorable for me. I was the same age as the characters when the drama aired so his character was my first dramaland crush that was actually my age, haha.

      I’ve watched a few of his dramas like High Society (not his best), Hyde & Jekyll (definitely not his best), and Madame Antoine. It feels like he plays the same character over and over but doesn’t put a spin to it. I haven’t watched Perfect Wife yet, so you’re right, maybe I’ll see something in him afterwards. Here’s hoping!

        Yeah, those are literally all the dramas that had me questioning abilities.

        I’ve had a discussion with others about how he can do good when the material is up to par, but he doesn’t have the ability to salvage a poorly written character. So he’s not the best actor out there, but I have a soft spot for some of his roles.

        His best performances are in Perfect Wife, SUFBB, I Need Romance 3, White Christmas, Can We Get Married, and Discovery of Romance (though his character is annoying at times in this).

    With all due respect to the actor and his fans, I have to say that for me it’s the actor Jang Geun-seok. I’ve tried, and tried, and tried, and tried to click with him. I always give his dramas a try, because, hey, all dramas deserve a chance, but unfortunately things have not worked out. ……. I don’t know what it is. I’ve always read good reviews about his acting and I don’t necessarily disagree, but again, to this day I can’t quite put my finger on it and figure out why he doesn’t click for me. I’m hopeful that things will be different one day.

    On a different note, I have to admit that Sung Joon was also on the no-click list until Perfect Wife came along. He was great in that! I don’t think anyone else could’ve played that role.

      I have a long list. He’s definitely on it. I just can’t see how he’s a good actor. Every time I see him it’s the same character as when I see him in variety.

      I’ve only ever watched You’re Beautiful with Jang Geun-Seok and I wasn’t blown away by it. Granted, it could just be the writing. For me his acting was way too… Forceful? There wasn’t any subtlety to nuance to it: a glare was a glare, a smile was a smile. But again I watched this years ago so I might have no idea what I’m talking about.

    If I mention their name, most beanies would think I’m nuts. The worse thing though, is that I have no reason to dislike them. Their acting is good enough and they are attractive. Let’s just call it allergy then.

            That’s why I don’t want to say his name, because my allergy for him started wayyyy long before it. And I never know the reason. His only project I can watch is City Hunter, which is a fast-paced thriller that has so many great actors. If not for that, maybe I’ll also only read the recap.

    Lee Sang Yoon was great in his other dramas before Whisper. I think it’s because his dimples doesn’t appear that much in Whisper lol. But your list sounds great 😂

    Oh dear… LJK is one of my favourites. I get you with LJS, I’m not a huge fan either. But dang, your list really hits a lot of the oppas held dear to many Beanies’ hearts. 😂

      I was just kiddin about the oppa part, I am not an oppa type of fan. I used it for fun.

      I quite like all the guys on your list in that I think they are good actors and can be very good(depending on the drama). Only exception is Lee Jun Ki. His style of acting is something I can’t get though I can see why people love it.
