Oh my god Save Me 2 is so frustrating, it’s gonna be so satisfying when the truth comes out

    How far are you?

Up to episode 12, I couldn’t do live watching it was so frustrating 😂

Frustrating is the best word for this drama! You’re around my favourite part. Hope you will enjoy it til the end 🙂

Uhhhh I don’t think she dislikes him 😂

Absolute Boyfriend has become my favourite show of this batch, which is surprising considering how low it started out on my list

I liked Pretty Noona….

Man, Waikiki didn’t deserve more episodes but it almost seems like it needed it, they really dragged it out and then crammed it all into the last 20 minutes

5
3

Exactly. I felt like it had enough episodes but the writer remembered the relationship’s development in the last week.

    3
    1

That’s exactly what it felt like, which is weird because the characters basically had no storylines other than their romantic relationships (with the exception of maybe Jun Ki)

      1
      1

They could’ve spent more together as a group and show their friendship on screen like in the first season. The girls didn’t have many comedy scenes with each other and didn’t have the chance to go full on comedy (Go Won Hee set the bar high).

        1
        0

So Save Me 2 is … interesting. When Esom and Uhm Tae-goo are on screen I really like it, the rest of the time I\’m not too sure

I finished Coin Locker Girl and it made me so excited for Save Me 2, I could listen to Uhm Tae-goo read the dictionary and be happy

Ugh this squad is killing me, y’all are missing out if you haven’t given it a shot #specialinspector

It’s so much fun when the “professional” squad goes on a not-so-legal mission. 😂

You should only play dumb characters! 😂

WOW the pacing in Confession is amazing, nothing gets dragged out for too long. Everytime I think we\’re gonna have an episode of misunderstandings everyone just sits down and shares their information, it really pushes the plot along in such a refreshing way. Plus the cliffhangers at the end are so satisfying!

I’m on ep 13 of Possessed and oh my god what is happening?? Does it get worse than this someone give me a heads up please

4

Yes, it’s all downhill from here. It’s true to its horror genre. But the villain doesn’t technically win in the end…

    2
    1

Ughhh I’m so conflicted about finishing now…

I\’m watching Strongest Deliveryman for the first time and I\’m wondering when will the bromance start again????

2

I don’t think the bromance was as memorable as the second leads’ loveline.

I like it and I’m crazy to buy Lee Je Hoon’s bag after the drama end 🙂

I liked it. It was a slow burn show, best watched live. I don’t know if it felt boring to some but to me it was the show I tuned into when I needed to relax. It is ironic that the premise was fantasy but I found the show to be very real. Very real husband-wife interactions and surprisingly very real villain. I know people want their villains to be completely bad but I liked how the drama showed the progress of a completely fine person turning into evil, it doesn’t happen overnight and the person went through his personality changing issues too like he questioned himself. The first 4 episodes were great but it did go downhill after that but still a good show for me.

One of the memorable dramas for me in 2017. I specially like the filming techniques they utilize. All the one, long, continuous scenes are my favorite.

    1
    1

I love this director for his longggggg continuous scenes. He lets the actors adlib for long stretches. I think his previous leads had better chemistry that made the scenes more interesting but this pair started off a bit awkward. In the later half of the drama, I think they improved their interactions.

      1
      0

    One of my favorites ☺

    1
    0

I had a complicated relationship with it. I loved it and enjoyed it (despite not watching the last two episodes) but I just felt very uncomfortable with how the relationship started and couldn’t really root for them. However, once they got it over with, I started to really enjoy it.

    1
    0

I liked it. Probably because I’m sort of a fan of this director. The pace is a bit slow for a time traveling drama so many people got disappointed. If you watch it like a very heart wrenching “man goes through hell to save his wife” romance, it’s absolutely beautiful.

    1
    0

I really enjoyed the slow burn romance and it was perfect for a live-watch. I guess many people expected it to be more thrilling, given that it’s a time-travel show. I do have criticism for the time-travel bit, because its mechanisms were not well-explained or developed until the end… but the drama was mostly enjoyable, and ofc incredibly good-looking.

    2

Oh I liked it. I never understood exactly how they evaded the final doom & the multiple timelines & all but I did enjoy it.

Question for people watching Life: are you siding with the doctors or the management? I’m confused about what I’m supposed to feel

6
12

I can only say for sure : I don’t like Deputy director since ep1,
    Sincerely yours,
    a President Gu’s fan x)

    2
    2

Yeah I don’t like him either but I’m not crazy about the president, he’s trying to make the hospital into some cosmetic surgery place with no essential services. But everyone else seems to like him so I feel like I’m missing something

      2
      1

I never said President Gu was perfect…but neither are the doctors…

        2
        0

Do we have to pick a side? I’m content to watch the drama play out. I think we;ll discover that President Gu & Ye Jin Wook areon the same side.

      4
      2

Yeah I think that might be the best way to watch 😂

        1
        0

Is my comment understood as me having taken sides ?
*sigh, I talked about only 2 characters*

        1
        2

I assumed you were leaning toward the presidents side, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with picking sides I’m only on episode 5 so it’s possible I might end up on his side too, I just tend to be biased towards the doctors cause I work at a hospital

          1
          1

            I can only say
            – I have zero knowledge in hospital so I’m not biased.
            – like greenfields said
“Do we have to pick a side? I’m content to watch the drama play out. I think we;ll discover that President Gu & Ye Jin Wook areon the same side.”

            0

Nope…I was supporting your comment. ^^ I guess that didn’t come out haha. To be clear, it does not seem like you’re taking President Gu’s side. Or perhaps I kNow this because I’m following your posts on the show. 🙂

          1

An organization like hospital not only need doctor but they need management to run the hospital. It’s win-win solution from both of them, if it be done as the theory said.
I still on neutral island, I can’t choose one of them. Mr.Gu always said something right, even about the doctor’s mentality, they want to be the best hospital, and Mr. Gu just see that hospital need something to brought up money. Their hospital not public good anymore if they let theirself into corporation. And Mr Gu know that many doctor in hospital that playing dirty.
Mr Gu lack in affection and showing his empathy side, but ut’s not his fault, he just being person from his corporation to reform the hospital management.
I also agree with some of doctors thinking that they are doctor and they need to save people in one place. It’s really disturbing when we walk in hospital corridor or in stair and there’s so many ads in wall.
If Mr Gu and dr Yee can reform the hospital together, it would be so nice to see.

Mr Gu is so charming 😍😍 don’t blame me, I just can’t get enough with his expression. Ah I ship wo jin ah with everyone in this drama, how?

I think this story not exactly about siding with someone. More about human nature and life – all shades of grey and in between.
“All theory is gray, my friend.”)) Ofcourse you still can root for Life characters. But i don’t think this was main point of their existence.
This is not medical drama with good doctors and bad managers (or vice versa) per say but more about what happen behind the top management.
Restructuring in mind, imo this all about open up old closets and wounds + palace Intrigues with style.
But mb the point of the drama is to find a middle ground where prof ethics etc do not have to be compromised for the sake of money :/
Still not sure about that tho..

Woooow did you really just actively decide you weren’t gonna intervene when your future wife is being sexually harassed on the bus? Even if you did end up having some issues that’s pretty low, to know a young girl is gonna be harassed by an adult and decide your PS4 is more important than that. Even if you didn’t want to do delay your date he could have at least stood near her to discourage the guy, damn this guys a jerk

I always forget that Netflix is too damn cheap to buy the rights for the Reply series background music. What’s the point of even having the drama up if you’re not gonna play the right music? It ruins the whole moment

15
16

    ARE YOU SERIOUS? hahahahahha

    4
    1

Yeah I was watching 1994 and felt like something was off so I checked Viki and I was right, it’s not even the right tone the character is sad and they’re playing bubbly music ??

      3
      2

Gosh, will Netflix ever get Kdramas right?

        5
        0

Is it even economically justified to appoint someone to replace the music of an entire drama? It surely isn’t a cheap and easy job? Or do they use a free app for it??

        4
        3

I wasn’t even aware in fact, that rights to the soundtrack had to be purchased separately. I thought the production company sells a complete product. And to make modifications, say to the soundtrack, Netflix would need to purchase the right to MAKE a modification.

          2
          3

That’s what I assumed as well, it makes more sense that’s way but apparently not

            1
            0

I wouldn’t be surprised to find the network is the one who only bought the rights to broadcast the song in Korea and then packages an international version for Netflix.

            1
            0

@leetennant – that makes perfect sense. Thanks!

            1
            0

They just replace the relevant songs with incidental original music from the show.

          2
          0

Incidentally, I was so convinced that Netflix has replaced the “proper” soundtrack for Pretty Noona that I went and tracked down a raw version to check. Because, I thought, there was NO WAY that was the music the producer intended (it was).

          3
          0

I’m not sure it’s entirely a question of cost. Maybe it is, maybe they can’t buy the rights for every jurisdiction it’s going to be broadcast in. They’d need to get global rights, basically.

But I do remember that they didn’t get the rights to I Will Always Love You for SWDBS and turned the funniest scene in the show into something not funny at all.

    3
    1

Yeah it totally changes the mood, when I rewatched the scene on viki I was way more invested in the scene

      2

i remember how mad i was when i found out they replaced the TT ringtone in secret forest because i missed the joke

    2

SO annoying! I immediately stopped watching 1994 on Netflix when I realized that and switched to Viki. Now I only watch on Netflix if it’s the only streaming site available.

Sometimes Viki has issues, too. In BTLIOF, other than blurring out some things like Ji-ho’s The Graduate poster and Soo-ji’s Puca doll, they completely changed the song CEO Ma danced to in the streets from Hall & Oates’ “You Make My Dreams” (making it a direct reference to a scene in (500) Days of Summer) to some random Korean song. Good thing I was so obsessed with that show I downloaded the raws and Viu subs to use on first watch of each episode because their subs were up hours before Viki’s, hehe.

    2
    2

Yeah I’m definitely not watching it on Netflix anymore, which is too bad I liked being able to watch offline

      1

changing CEO Ma’s dancing song to anything else is a crime. how dare they!
