On episode 5 of Doctor John and I have found something that I am liking a lot.
The two main leads tell each other about their deep scars and fears fairly early and quite honestly. And in a twist from the usual norm of kdramas the female lead’s situation is much worse than the male lead’s. I loved that Ji Sung’s character acknowledged this point immediately and went after her to try and give her some emotional support. I’m truly liking the respect and honesty these two have for each other.
Actually, now I come to think of it, nearly all the doctors in the hospital have been treating each other with respect and honesty. I hope this trend continues to the end of the show because it is very refreshing.
