Ever wanted to hear Lee Min-ki completely butcher saying “I love you” in your language? Today might be your day!
In celebration, I’m posting one of my favorite moments from my favorite not-actually-good drama, I Really Really Like You. Throughout the last several episodes of the drama, Bong-ki (Lee Min-ki) tells Bong-soon (Eugene) “I love you” in several different languages, and she’s just like “What’s up with this weirdo speaking these nonsense words”, until she finds his list of languages and realizes what the doofus has been saying the whole time.
It’s the dumbest thing ever but it fits Bong-ki’s obnoxious but ultimately sweet and endearing character so incredibly well and I love these dumb-dumbs.
I have refrained from tagging people in these Love, February posts because they aren’t good enough and I feel like they detract from the actual purpose of the exercise but this is the last one, so… I’m sorry that I am incapable of being serious about love.

Disclaimer: This drama is not good.
But I love it anyway.

I do not have an ear for languages, but it sounds like he says all of them with the same accent and inflections.

Oh I’m sure. It looks like he just found a list online and printed it out but has no clue how to say them.
Which is exactly what Nam Bong-ki would do.
It’s the meaning behind the sounds that counts? LOL

I’ve never gone from finding a character so infuriating to finding them so lovable before. I adore him.
