Park Bo-gum is offered a role in the Hong Sisters’ upcoming drama Hwayugi. On one hand, yay for more Bogummy! On the other hand, the Hong Sisters have been a bit of a mixed bag in recent years.

      I don’t really like anyone in this drama, so hopefully no one will ruin this drama. I won’t say SSK has the biggest risk to ruin this drama because in fact the rest aside from Im Joo Hwan have equal chance to be underperformed.

    I think NJH is always awkward with his co stars, even with LSK during last year MBC Award they looked so model-ish, serious and not cheerful, totally contradict with their characters. lol. So, I am not surprise he and SSK look serious here..

    This press conferences are always hilarious, actors look overly serious and a lot awkward, while idols are doing all the talks/smiling.
    On Reply 1988 conference it was so obvious, only Hyeri and Mc were talking, boys were just for background

    Why do I feel like if Shin Se Kyung and Krystal were not the 2 female leads attached to this Show, if this show wasn’t a remake of a manhwa, if this show wasn’t being clouded by it’s manhwa-into-drama-with-2-meh-actresses-attached-to-it preconceptinos then this Show would be getting so much more love?         She doesn’t have a very expressive face (see: Tree with Deep Roots and Six Flying Dragons) but I did love her in Girl Who Sees Smells. She had a warm, bubbly vibe there that I’d never seen from her before. Doesn’t look like she recaptured that vibe for BotWG.

        Yeah, she was the lead in She’s So Lovable. I only watched a couple of episodes and dropped it. It was a very forgettable drama for me.

      Honestly, my feelings about this drama have not been good ever since they announced the setting change. Then they completely threw out the original manhwa plot out the window, making this an in-name-only adaptation. The promos they’ve released so far aren’t doing anything to make a good impression. And now, this display of awkwardness among the casts. *sigh*
