I bought my first kpop album and it arrived this week, it is EXO-CBX Blooming Days which is a masterpiece of an album. I got the Chen photocard and the last picture I’m posting has the back of that card. I got the Blooming version of the album and while I did not get my bias Baekhyun’s photocard, I’m so happy to own a physical copy of this lovely music. Also, the packaging is a bit delicate and I already dinged it up a bit…ah well.
Oohh… So pretty!!! I never buy physical korean album.. I prefer digital ones. But after seeing this, I am gonna save my money to buy exo’s next physical album too..

I’ve never been one to buy physical copies, but it’s so much fun collecting albums! There are photocards and photobooks. And of course, it helps EXO. 🙂 I’m going to buy the next album too!
I pretty much own the entire discography for my favorite bands in physical cd form. However with kpop it’s so much more fun having the random photocards and the gorgeous photobooks when compared to how mostly boring it has become to purchase albums from English language artists.
They have really good marketing! It’s making me sad there are so many different photocards, postcards and versions of the same album! For Pentagon even the disks are different. I kind of want to have them all, but I don’t want to (and can’t) spend so much money on one album.
But I love the element of surprise! You never know which photocard you’ll get. And I love the photobooks.
I feel the same was as you! Now part of me really wants the Days version of this album just to see whose photocard I get and because the cover is different and more my aesthetic. I’ve convinced myself to wait and not buy Days version right now…maybe in the future but not this year with the comeback happening soon.
And oh geez, did you see the Magic album has 3 or is it 4 covers too? I’m not planning on buying that album though as I don’t listen to the Japanese music as much currently.
I love the element of surprise too so this marketing really is good. Hwaiting @estee on resisting the temptation to buy more of the same Pentagon album!

Some hard-core fans buy more copies of the same album (to support EXO). I am not at that level. Haha, yeah, comeback is happening soon, so better save the money!
Oh my, all versions look good! Exodus (the album) had individual covers for each member. I’ve heard that Sehun is sold out! Lol. But my friend got a Baekhyun version. I wonder if the photobook is full of that one member… I’ll have to ask her.
So far there are so many albums I would love to buy and comebacks coming close, so I am not tempted yet. Plus, they don’t have different versions of the same album… (But they’ll be releasing a Japanese album. I’m not sure if I want it or not.)

Do you think you’ll pre-order EXO’s comeback? I’m a little wary of pre-ordering any music usually but I’m sure I’ll love whatever EXO releases next.

I probably will. I’ve always wanted to do it and didn’t do it last year. But I’m actually not sure if I’ll like the music. So I might think about it and decide later.
I didn’t know there was gold and silver! Oh my, different level. Must be tough to choose a version when you don’t have a set bias! I myself wouldn’t know which one to choose.

The CD is so shiny, I’m surprised I managed to get a good pic on my first try! Chen looks so cute in this photocard <3 and thank you so much for translating the photocard message, I actually had no clue what it said!! What a sweet message…and yes this is a gorgeous album and the photobook makes me happy to look at it but also a bit worried as it also seems delicate lol

I get what you mean! I am always super careful with my album. It’s true mine is not as delicate as yours. It’s a pity about that dent in the packaging, but at least the rest is fine!
