John Denver’s megahit, “Take Me Home, Country Roads” was composed by husband-and-wife songwriting team of Bill Danoff and Taffy Nivert along with Denver, for whom the duo had opened under the name Fat City. They provide backing vocals on the recording. Fat City later morphed into Starland Vocal Band with the addition of Jon Carroll and Margot Chapman.
@beantown,
I’m enjoying it. It’s a slow burn. The female lead is reminding me way too much of the doormat of a special effects makeup artist in MY ABSOLUTE BOYFRIEND. Her self-esteem is lower than whale sh*t, but the reason for that has not been revealed. Her husband has been so indifferent towards her I could scream. Kim Mi-kyung is doing great as his meddlesome mother, who seems to have him wrapped up like a mummy in her apron strings.
I have a suspicion that each partner in the 3 main couples is culpable. Some of them may be engaging in their own extracurricular activities — or maybe they’re emotionally absent/abusive.
I’m really just watching for Lee Yeo-sub. He was great as Ma-dol Oppa in TOP STAR YOO BAEK.
I’m also watching a potboiler of a Tdrama, BEFORE WE GET MARRIED, which has a different vibe from Kdramas, and an insanely attractive OTP. Second female lead makes me bonkers with her entitlement issues.
