The little girl in the green dress was called Se-kyung in that final scene. This makes me wonder. Is the Se-kyung in the hospital not the real Se-kyung? Did she take the place of that girl? And is the current Se-kyung really the the biological daughter of Woo-kyung’s stepmother? Perhaps she knows what really happened and became estranged from her mother long ago.

My mind is coming up with all sorts of theories and I’m starting to wonder if Woo-kyung’s entire family is a fake one. Woo-kyung does seem to remember the stepmother coming into her life, so maybe that part is true. Then again, was she told this? How much does she actually remember. I might be getting ahead of myself here.

While this second idea about Woo-kyung not belonging to this family at all may be far-fetched, I think that the above theory about Se-kyung not being the real Se-kyung might have some validity. The little girl in the green dress was called by that name, but the other little girl we’ve seen in Woo-kyung’s family photos (the younger version of the Se-kyung in the hospital) looks very different.

I was also thinking Woo-kyung might not be from this family due to the show’s title.

I haven’t thought of the possibility that there would be 2 Se-kyungs. I just assumed that Se-kyung is really girl in green dress. However, I seem to note that all photos of this girl is nowhere in the family photos. The other photos at stepmom’s home are photos of the 2 older girls (both more than 8 years old I guess)

I also think that Se-kyung in the hospital is the biological sister of WK. Se-kyung had that argument with WK that she’s the real relative and not her stepmom so WK should side with her.

Perhaps something really happened in WK’s family. I find it odd that Se-kyung spent 10 years abroad and became comatosed after she went home. Maybe she found out something that she shouldn’t?

I definitely think the current SK is not the real SK.

I’m thinking something really bad happened involving WK, SK and the bio mom and the real SK died. Perhaps bio mom then killed herself. Dad covered it all up by replacing WK’s memories and maybe even marrying stepmom who was a single mother (and possibly a victim of abuse) with a daughter SK’s age who then “replaced” the dead SK. Stepmom’s daughter could have been young enough that she didn’t really remember and thought she was the real SK and because stepmom was a cold person, she grew up hating her. Perhaps SK discovered something while overseas that had her questioning things and that’s why she came home and fought with WK.

Whew! It sounds a bit makjang written down, but I was thinking of how this drama started with the Park Ji Hye case, which WK felt strongly about, and the Si-wan case, which feels unfinished, and how they could possibly parallel WK’s. Abuse. Dead child. Parent who tried to cover it up. Dead sister. Child with hallucinations. Parents who want child to forget.

Yes, makjang indeed. Yet, somehow, I don’t mind that being the case for this show. Let’s see what other clues show up. I am sticking with the two Se-kyungs for now.

It seems that the photo of WK, SK and the mother was taken by a woman (I think I heard a feminine voice… probably Stepmother’s).

One of the beans (I don’t remember who) theorized that Stepmum could be WK’s aunt…
